wow i am taking to the idea of what the 300 hd-dvd will have like re-editing the movie Not decided on a format yet as still adding to my HUGE dvd collection
Somebody told me that if you have an upscaling DVD player it will play HD DVDs I have a hard time beliving him. But since I have a decent 360 now I might pick up the HD DVD drive.
Why can't I have a movie player that just plays a damn movie anymore? Besides, the internet functionality is just so they can push out firmware updates to prevent breaches.
They'll probably be weak flashed based websites with scripts and such on them. Nothing that can't be done with standard DVDs, I'd have thought. The ethernet port is a cherry to let your player connect online and check to see if it can upgrade the security features and snoop on any modifcations probably.
