It not work with the USB GDrom. When you start it, the game go on music player menu.

Any particular setting in Discjuggler?. I mounted the CCD file in Daemon tools and made a CDI, yet the DC refuses to boot it and it's the same with Ghostblade. Everyone is saying they converted the game (CCD/IMG/SUB) format to CDI, yet for some reason it's not working for me.

Everything else is fine on the new fw for GDEMU.

    Try...

    1) scan gaps/indexes

    2) r-w (cd+g)

    3) pq

    4) raw read

Just to provide an additional "yes" to this thread, the 5.13 firmware for GDEmu also worked for me. I ripped my personal copy of PSHD with Alcohol 52% into CloneCD format, and it boots and plays fine on the new firmware. No special effort was required, so the data I ripped the hard way a few weeks back wasn't necessary. Seems like it has to be CloneCD though, the CDI I ripped with DiscJuggler has the problem where it reboots after the intro movie. The CloneCD image was fine, I played roughly the first 30 minutes of the game without issues.

I do need to have it as the only thing on the SD card though, it doesn't seem to work if started from GDMenu. This might be a different problem, but when I tried starting it from GDEmu on a card with other games, it just freezes on the Sega license screen. (With WM logo) Haven't bothered to troubleshoot the problem, I have spare SD cards anyway.

Tried that and still the same issue and I notice is that there are "DAT" files and no "1ST_READ.bin" in the iso. Even NullDC wont entertain it either and the only thing I haven't tried is burning it, yet I don't see that working.

You guys realize that GDEMU does support CCD files? Just name the ccd, img and sub files "disc".ccd/img/sub and it should work given Deunan last update does indeed supports those new games.

Yeah, I tried that but it also failed and others keep telling me like user (Fille) above on another forum that he converted it to CDI. I''ll go over it again with the original files and see if I missed something.

I found a solution to my problem, as it appears that the "reset_goto = 1" that was set in my ini file was causing it not to boot. If folder 1 is not populated (I leave it blank so it does not auto-boot) and instead put the game in folder 2, when trying to boot it, the DC will revert back to the main bios screen.

Leaving the game in folder 1, is okay and works with the CDI or CCD version, so it was nothing to do with the files in the first place, which I kinda thought it wouldn't be. However, removing the "reset_goto = 1" option completely, makes no difference to what folder it is in. I did not know this until now, since I always used the GDMENU when I got the ODE.

I use this ini setting for GDMENU in order to use the IGR, so it defaults back to the menu from a game and when previously testing, I did not remove this when trying to boot the game via the default DC bios screen using the ODE button. Lesson learned and such a simple one to miss, which could have saved me the headache.

Weird one, I still cannot get Pier Solar to work. I have updated my GDEMUs Firmware to the newest 5.13 and have tried my original Cdi conversion of Pier Solar. Still resets. Then tried using Alcohol 52% to create a ccd, sub & image file from the disc. Remained all the file names to disc, whilst keeping the file extension And it still resets. I'm at a loss. I have tried it using multiple different SD cards which all work on the GDEMU perfectly with all other 300 DC games I have put onto them. I have also tried it with and without gdmenu and on a dedicated SD card too. Every time it resets on the same place. Does anyone have any more suggestions?

I have a Pal v1 DC, typically using either 32gb sandisc sdhc or pny 256gb sdxc cards (I really don't think it's the cards btw, soo many diff rips or all different file types and games all work perfectly 300+), has a region free bios chip and GDEMU unit states 5.4 9-9-14.

If anyone has any other suggestions or methods to try interms of file formats or procedure. Please let me know.

    Thanks

i think that the conversion goes wrong, you must have the good version daemon tools, not all working.

Fille it was indeed the method or programmes I was using to rip the disc image from my PS cd. I downloaded a Cdi image from a link in EP paradise and it works a treat now. Still scratching my head as to what I was doing wrong... Oh well never mind off I go to finally play Pier Solar on my DC :)
