I will say that ProjectY the role play beat 'em up as they described it looks like it could be pretty good game. Hopefully it won't suffer from the lack luster gameplay issues that Pier Solar ended up with.
I'm more interested in Project N than anything. Looks pretty neat, feels like something that would have been released in Japan back in the day. Project Y at least isn't yet another RPG which is all the Genesis seems to get for new releases, though, so it's definitely got that going for it.
I guess I don't appreciate such a limited framework. I really do prefer the popular platformers from the old'n days, from Ducktales to Yoshi's Island, and those games have great, wide frames to work within. Exploration, secrets, great range of motion, I'm more into that design. As awful as this may sound, I prefer the Adventures in the Magic Kingdom over Volgarr. Both games are maliciously designed, but at least AitMK lets you fail spectacularly on your own terms. (Let me tell you, those people must have been super grumpy when they made that game -- Like, "you can only work on AitMK on Monday mornings" grumpy.)
