The Pioneer SEED was a brand name was used for a lot of different TVs, I know you need the SD-G5 expansion pack and here is a TV that used it. The SD-21, but do you know of any others?

A Tele with a PSX-AV-multi-out input?? Never knew there was such a thing as Multi-in or a double-multi-ended cable adhering to the PSX AV port standard - I m actually shocked.

Well, if anyone was going to make this, it'd be Pioneer. Those cats were putting out LD players till like 2000 (DVD/LD combi's, but LD players, nonetheless).

Actually, Pioneer only officially announced the final run of DVL-919, CLD-R5, DVK-900, DVL-K88 players this January!

    http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fpioneer.jp%2Fpress%2F2009%2F0114-1.html&sl=ja&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

I knew they were still manufacturing the high end Hi-Vision/MUSE HLD-X9 until a few years ago, but even I didn't realise that hardware was still being made for the venerable format until this year!

RIP LD - I'll miss ya.

    ~Limey~ (who just picked up a Pioneer DVL-700 & a Denon LA-2300 [Pioneer CLD-D515 clone] for $44  )

Can anyone confirm whether this thing is actually widescreen or not?

Well if it's not Widescreen then it's a very squashed looking 4:3 TV!....and the title says "The pioneer LD player having within type 24 type wide-screen television Pioneer integrate type".

I wonder why they continued the R5 over the R7G (cost?). I have a beautiful R7G that doesn't get enough use to justify keeping:crying:If anybody is interested, shoot me a PM (and no, I won't sell it for $20!).

Pity it only has the tiniest of tiny pictures...

A lot of Sony TVs produced between 1995 until they ceased making CRT TVs had this port. Here is a 32" TV with the port...

    Nice tube.

I have been sad recently because I have so many laserdiscs, but now they look like utter crap on my HDTV. Most of the discs have better sound mixes than even the new Blu-Ray or HD DVD releases, but picture just can't compare.

Still have to bust out unreleased titles though - Song of the South and Star Wars Trilogy widescreen. This tv would be nice to have because I don't have a widescreen CRT and the laserdiscs would look good on a big CRT.
