Probably runs an emulator. Since it also plays music and video formats.

The real question is: how good is the emulation and the the HDMI output?

Anyone willing to buy one and try?

Hot damn it supports two different Real Media formats! Just what I always wanted.

When i said "probably" i meant to say a chinese coded one (like the JXD M1000) instead of a decent one found online like epsxe.

Plus it only supports SD/MS card up to 8GB, which isn't much.

Hmmm, if it is as good as it looks then I would be very interested, as the price is decent, but not without a user review first! :)

Just another half-baked emulator in a can. Interesting but not a purchase.

I'm with Alchy. Another crummy emulator, that probably takes only specially formated images.

Just downloaded one of the games from the link provided by the replier to ASSEMblers comment and upon extraction the file is a typical Clone CD image so theoretically any and all CCD images could/should work, no?

Love how there's a link to download illegal ISOs right in the product description.

    Another reply to ASSEMblers comment:

Maybe it does play any form of ISO, the title I quickly pulled down to check was 86201-The King Of Fighters 98(J)FTG which as I said earlier was a CCD but if they've grabbed a BIN/CUE then you may be able to rip your own discs to a format of your own choice.

It's interesting, Maybe one for the museum. Not often you see a PS1 with HDMI. It may be surprisingly high quality since its the first of its kind. If your after one get this before the other chinese pirates catch wind of it and flood the market.

It'll be the same PSX emulator that's on the newer breed of MP4 players, which is buggy and slow.

I don't think they're particularly picky about format, though.

Considering a PII could run Bleem at SVGA res that a pirate console can do the same 12 years later isnt that impressive.

If they dont care about sony lawyers I'm sure they dont give 2 shits about stealing the code of the best PSX emulator out there, so it should run fine.

About the HDMI, using this output for QVGA games is overkill

Too bad they wont say what CPU it uses, DX normally lists that kind of stuff.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't a knockoff Chinese ARM CPU like all the other MP4/game players and similar devices.
