I'm installing a modbo 4.0 in my SCPH-39001 (V7), and i was following the guide here.
I'm confused about solder points, like SX, for example, that are indicated on top of some SMD components.

Am i required to remove the SMD components to solder, or should i solder the wire on a certain end of the SMD?
I can't tell exactly where i should solder to, and i don't want to risk anything.

    Thanks for the help guys

You have to solder a wire to the pad or end of the smd cap/resistor.

Got it. Thanks! I'll post photos for someone to double check once it's all done.

yes, DON'T remove any components! solder on the indicated "end" - so the pad has soldered both the component and the wire to the chip

Make sure to not hold the iron to it for very long either, if it heats up the other end as well it can come off and be a pain to resolder because they're so tiny.
