PlayStation 4 or Xbox One?

I'm looking to buy a current gen gaming system. I've used the PS4 for livestreaming and was wondering if the Xbox One had similar features? Anyone with experience, please pipe up!

So which one do I buy?

 

I say wait for the hardware upgrade PS4 is planning to get.
I say this because it's likely going to be better to buy if you wait til the end of 2016.

However, with recent kernel exploits this may also mean theyre trying to push a new system build out that will be unhackable due to base firmware restrictions.

I want to do a fair bit of YouTube streaming is all... not really a Twitch man, if I could stream to both without a capture card... sure!

 

I can't remember the last time I watched a YouTube stream, it was probably Mike Matei or something. Twitch is where it's at dude.

 

Can have my Xbox one and games honestly hah.

How does the extra HDMI thingo in it work? Does it support PIP?

 

It's just a pass through, which you can even connect a laptop to it and switch between them. I never used it though.

 

I tried it with my 360, there was enough input lag to put me off. Although that was probably a week or so after launch so it could be better now.

 

I have both and if I had to pick just one, it'd be Xbox One without a doubt because of the better exclusives. I use it almost every day while the PS4 has often gone months without me even turning it on.

 

During the last generation of videogame consoles I had them all, but ended up playing only on Xbox 360 because of it's ecosystem and great digital downloads. Because of this I decided to exclusively get the Xbox One for my next-gen fix and I must say the Xbox One does not disappoint* And looking at my friends who have both a PS4 and Xbox One in house, they end up playing almost exclusively on the Xbox One.

*However now with Rez Infinity around the corner alongside the PSVR-headset.....

 

Ahhh, so it's just a boring old passthrough, my computer screen can do that. Oh well! Sorry XBONE, you ain't looking too popular!

They should use fibre optic HDMI 2.8 then, that would solve it!

Better exclusives, could you name some of your favoutes?

 

Xbox One has better online as well along with the better controller.

 

Sure does, although the DS4 certainly is a step up from the DS3.

 

Alright, so the Xbox One does have some good things about it...

Better at online in what way? And the controller looks funky to me! Does it feel OK?

 

Forza 6, Sunset Overdrive, Halo: MCC + 5 and Rare Replay would be my favorites.

 

Better online in every way, trust me. The controller is undoubtedly the best controller I've ever used in my entire life; even better than the 360's, which was damn near perfect at the time.

 

I've gotta say, Sunset Overdrive looks hilarious! Halo is Halo, so that's always good, Rare Replay - PAST COOL! I don't race cars very well so Forza is out for me. But that does look pretty good so far!
