nowhere on the net i can find some info about this thing, i found like 2 images, from google, that rare, but i made these pictures for you guys.

Does anyone have diagrams for this modchip?

    All info is welcome

Almost looks like old crow style wiring. Never seen the black blob though, could have been chinese made modchip for cheap production?

Bad axe should be able to answer this

It's a clone of oldcrow hex. It's better to say that is a clone of PIC 12C50X with oldcrow HEX and external oscillator.

Thanx for the comments guy's , finally i know what the hell that ting is lol :D , but now.. i like to put it to use.. does anyone know the pin numbers ? there are 5 solder points on it.

I like to put it in a very old scph-1000 :encouragement: just 4 wire's right.. would be cool to know what the points on the chip are, i think the far left is power and the far right is ground, that leaves me with 3 point's left..

But.. if anyone would happen to know of a zip. or something floating around the web with a few installation diagram's that would be more awesome of course.

Thanks alot for the help guys

I have never heard of a clone PSX chip, most likely it's a MSOP8 12C508 on a custom board, instead of the traditional DIP-8 12C508PIC.
    The points used are

    1 VCC
    2 Oscillator
    5 Gate
    6 Data
    8 GND

If you want to install it in a 100X series than you can follow any of the 4 wire diagrams for the following points
    1, 5, 6, and 8

Their are two MoBo version of the 100X series which is 80 pin and 52 pin QFP
For point 2 you need to solder to pin 22 of the 80 pin QFP and to pin 15 of the 52 pin QFP

No bridge? The picture seemed to show gray wire touching 2 pins on the chip near the top of the picture

this is just silly, i re-did all wires, there good. but there is no picture, i dont understand how they used to install these, i think i have figured out what points on the chip are, if you look at the first picture of the chip , its like this (i based this on alot of documents and photo's, like images from when it was originally installed in a 5xx console, and some pictures of the PIC modchips) 1-2-6-5-8 .

    Can anyone confirm this?

still the disc spins , the laser moves a few inches , then it need's to speed up.. but it doesnt, and there is no real picture, the screen goes from bacl (off console) to light black (console on) looks like its stuck, has to be wrong wire ing , i just cant tell, as to so little i know about it, i am going to try some other way's to wire them , like using different power points ont the board, i dont know.. if anyone can help , please do

well i done it, its working, i got one wire wrong, when doing that first picture, then i redid it after i figured out what probely whear the number points on the chip (and i got them right).
i did a ''ps2 install'' not crossing wires using kynar blah blah blah, i though professional installations where only nessasery on ps2 console's , with ps1 sega's and other consoles i dont mind crossing wires en using all kinds of wire, the install was messy, but the connections where solid, guess this chip is picky.. i would like to thank everyone here that helpt me, and i would like to thank Jinn for putting me in the right direction, as always mate, you rock. thanks alot guys, another mod well done.

I liked to share this little diagram i made, its for PU-7 scph-1000 ''old green weird chip.? modchip'' 5 wire .

Install it's a disaster. You must do a better and clean job.
BTW trow out that shit and buy an original and more stable pic with multimode 2.x code or mayumi V1.
