hey, a bit off-topic (and a bit not either): is there a sms converter for the game gear? i could finnaly sell my sms and it could be another reason to get a gg. (it takes too much space for my tastes (and for how many times i play with it)!)

Yep, their essentially the same thing, except the game gear supports more colours. Not sure where to get one from though - and i wouldn't advise getting rid of your master system - nothing beats playing games on a big TV

As steadster said, yes you can, but some games don't look good squished down to only a few pixels!!!

    Where? eBay of course!

    pfwing!
    pfwong!

Well, you get the idea. 12 on eBay UK. Its a Master Gear btw ;)

indeed, but i don't play with my sms, really. The only times i will for sure will be when i'll find a phantasy star copy or the sonic games, that's why i was wondering if there was a sms adaptor for gg, like that i could sell my sms, save some space and still be able to play the first phantasy star. :D

Phantasy Star surely would be a game that wouldn't be good on the Game Gear. You're compressing a big 525 line picture down to a 160x144 pixel screen.

Here is Phantasy Star at 160 pixels (ok, slightly different size on some monitors, but you get my drift).

GG is no substitute for an SMS. if you really must get rid of your SMS (don't know how anyone could ;)), and you've got a Megadrive/Geny, I'd advise you to pick up a powerbase converter:

I'm sure you'll agree it looks the business, as well as offering a card slot. I think there was one for the Megadrive 2, not seen it around though.
