    Changes:

    1. All items sold require picture validation! Everything sold needs a picture now.

Validation: The following must be on a piece of paper in the picture of your items:

    • Your forum name
    • The forum name (assemblergames.com)
    • Date

    2. Fee no longer required for xbox 360 dev hardware

    3. Changes to modded system policy:
    • Xbox One - All modifications allowed except those that singularly allow copied games.
    • Xbox 360 - Any modification allowed. Cannot have any games on the hdd.
    • PS4 - All modifications allowed except those that singularly allow copied games.
    • PS3 - Any firmware is allowed but unit cannot have games on the hard drive.
    • Wii U - All modifications allowed (if they ever exist) except those that singularly allow copied games.
    • Wii - All modifications allowed.
    • 3DS and all other handhelds - Flashcards are allowed, cannot be bundled with any commercial roms.
    • Vita - All modifications allowed (if they ever exist) except those that singularly allow copied games.

It's okay changing rules but how about actually enforcing them? If you have rules there MUST also be consequences if those rules are broken!

Who are the moderators these days?

Also, is there a post/time limit still or has that gone out of the window?

Most rules are enforced at the moment, or at least the OP is fixed before I can read it. The only rule that received the least attention was the one where a certain value of item required a picture. Since photos are required by default now, this surely must receive the most attention.

Although, I'm surprised there's no "Sorry, you don't have enough posts to create a thread on this forum" system for the marketplace.

It would be nice to see a one post per person rule in here the same as in the WTB section.

No reason for a single person to have multiple for-sale threads.

They are supposed to have one post, but sometimes people drag up the old ones.

We delete the post and pm them why.
If it's an established user, we give them 12-24 hours to be compliant.

Repeated violators under 50 posts are banned.

I don't think it needs a penalty system as it only has a compliant / not compliant status and
it's not a common problem among established users.

Considering the person who runs these forums created this thread, I would say that pretty much confirms it.

Replying to the post below :

Maybe they didn't change that rule? This thread is pointing out that the marketplace rules have "changed," it's in the title no less! & it is posted by the person who created these forums. Your source of confusion confuses me.

Probably a good/smart idea to assign a couple sectional mods to the marketplace to look after necro-bumpers and pre-50 post/3 month posters.

I could very easily write the "sorry, you don't have enough posts" code for the site if Kevin needs it...

So all items need to have the forum name now, not just the ones over $90? That seems a little excessive. It makes sense to require pictures for everything, but if it's less than $90, I don't think validation is that important.

It's a good idea that all items require proof.

I think any user under 50 posts should be chucked into another group and cannot view the marketplace. This will lessen the hassle of deleting threads created by <50 post users.

    Also sticky this thread!

Well I can understand that part, but I still don't see the point if you can't buy from the section, viewing it wouldn't really change anything. I guess a restriction on be able to make a thread or replying is a better solution for <50 posts.

Anyone (including people with <50 posts) can buy. The rules have always stated that. The limit is for sellers only.

Actually Poryhack's correct HEX1GON there is no post requirement for buying only selling ASSEMbler makes that very clear in the marketplace rules, so unless ASSEMbler changes that rule, preventing access to the marketplace for <50 posts users would contradict the rules and make the site look hypocritical, that being said I do think there should be measures in place to prevent <50 posts users from opening a WTS/WTT thread, also I think that this whole all pics have to have, username forum name, and date thing a bit excessive, I mean with $90+ items I can understand but why everything?
