Prayers for both England and Scotland - we both need it! Incidentally, is there any way to watch the games online?

Ah well, Scotland are out. A real pity. Let's just hope Israel stay up against Russia.

Well, Scotland put up a pretty brave fight as far as I can see. Well done to Italy. A far better game than I expected given that Italy scored inside the first 2mins. I had barely sat down when it happened!

Rather than get dishearted however, Scotland fought hard, dug deep and kept gaining corners. Italy could have pulled a couple of solid goals out of the bag in the first half, but thanks to luck and a pretty incredible piece of goal keeping we got through. Scotland scored in the second half, levelling the scoreline.....

...at this point my son and I went daft and we ran outside cheering, where incidentally we could clearly hear half of Scotland shouting too!

However, in the dying moments of the second half Italy were awarded a penalty from a rather strange incident. No doubt there will be lots of speculation on this incident in the press, but whichever way you look at it the final score line was Scotland 1 - Italy 2.

Now we can start to consider qualifying for the World Cup, but I hope England get through to the Euro 2008. Clearly the praying helped us, but some of you must have prayed for rain as it was like cats & dogs out there!

Loads of fireworks going off right now!

Only whilst the tourists are here, then we turn the taps off and it's like California - little known Scottish secret for you. Oh, and we also deflate
the Loch Ness Monster and pack it up for the next season too!

it was a nice match, scotland had his chance too, even tought italy was negated a regular goal (that would have made 2-0), the scottish played great, and went on playing all the 90 mins with great effort. my compliments, really. if they keep playiong like this they'll qualify for sure in the next world cup.

remember that scotland had the WORST qualifying round ever with the 1st, the 2nd and the 4th qualified in world cup!

So fucking gutted. But I am a proud Scotsman and proud of our team. We were in with a chance until the end we fought throughout the campaign like warriors with passion. I hope Scotland can build on this.

Bring on the World Cup! Alba Gu Brath!

I take the hat off, to Northern ireland for kicking the living shit out of the Danish football team 2-1. Thanks Northern Ireland :) now I don´t have to see Denmark going to European Championship. And by the way, football does not give any kind of satisfaction, and it hasn´t since 1992. So I just hope that Denmark gets their arse kicked, every damn time they go out on the field.

Ahh that last minute decision robbed the scots of a draw, I watched the reply several times and only a blind monkey (also know as the Spanish Ref) would see that as a foul by Scotland, it was a 50/50 ball and the ref should have just let it continue rather then give a foul which cost scotland.

don't be blind... that makes even with the line judge cancelling a regular goal to italy; the one of 2-0

Swings and roundabouts as they say, but frankly the decision by the line judge was undeniably poor. Actually, it made no sense.....unless of course you are Italian lol
