Probably because the online is that bad. People even hack online games on the PS3. Call of Duty 4 has fucking invisible players that can see you through walls anywhere on the map. Every game has to handle alot of online aspects itself. PS3 online is sad. ='( I love the 360. If it weren't for two things, I'm sure most of you would too. Obviously #1 build quality/reliability. And then #2 it's Micro$oft. But most of the time it's fantastic. Though I'd still like to get a PS3.
Wow, I never even thought about the fact that people would probably be able to run amuch cheating on there. Thats shitty. :-(
360....then Wii...then PS3. 360, even though it dies, it's still an awesome system, especially if you have an HDTV. I've been playing tons of Wii since my 360 died, and it's a very fun system, but I don't think I could manage on it alone.
It kinda depends on the genres you like, because each system usually has a higher amount of something than another console will. Like Xbox has more FPS than PS2, PS2 has more RPGs than Xbox, etc. I still voted for Xbox 360, but I also want a PS3 and Wii. To be honest though I don't see many Wii games out right now or coming out that make me really want a Wii, except for most of its first party titles. No more Heroes looks cool though. Same somewhat applies to the PS3 as well, and most of the third party games that I'd buy for it are also on Xbox 360. I guess I just like the Xbox 360s controller a lot more.
PS3, because the reality of my situation (working full time and a family) means that I just don't have time to play games for hours on end. This means that the supposed "lack of good games for the PS3" isn't a concern for me. I have CoD4, Burnout Paradise, Gran Turismo and Virtua Tennis which are more than enough to keep me going for now (it'll probably take me about a month or two to finish each one - so I seem to only need some decent games released a few times a year to keep me going). I appreciate the relatively restriction-free multimedia functions of the PS3 (internet access via my TV, music library, photo library and yes, even the Blu-Ray player) far more than most on this forum seem to. Being able to connect my PSP and download content from the PS3 when I go away for work is great. When PlayTV comes out, it will become more useful again. PS3 online isn't Xbox Live in terms of online play, but there's a good variety of downloadable games on PSN, some of which are great (Super Stardust, PixelJunk Monsters and Everyday Shooter being three examples) to play in short bursts. Perhaps if I had more time to just play games, I'd get a 360, but only to play games. In terms of multimedia, the PS3 leaves it for dead. In the end the PS3 just fits my lifestyle better than the others.
Playstation 3 as it does have some fantastic games and more fantastic games coming up. Plus it doubles up as a fantastic Linux based PC. Plus I can play online games with people in arcades and it has the best "not quite a full game but it is fantastic and unlike the other two consoles has not one but two fantastic steering wheels driving game" Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Might get a 360 this year as I do have 8 games all still wrapped up... but I hate the thought of it dying, still I think this year the 360 will die in Japan and the machines will go for peanuts... Although I have access to a Wii, I still wouldn't buy one and would rather buy 100 greatest morris dancers collecting stamps whilst waiting for trains and talk about the greatest country and western singers recordings as they were singing in the shower.
PS3, but I would wait until the autumn when I expect there to be a price drop. There is not much to pick between them at the moment when all is considered, the XBox360 has more games but the exclusives on the horizon are better on the PS3 IMO. I don't regret buying mine for a moment. I do miss the XB360 though.
