    Damn this thread is old!

I took this pic a few weeks ago, just downloading a game from the Ubuntu repository in Japan. Might have been the KDDI or Yast mirrors, forgot which. Note that this is kiloBYTES, so yeah around 4.5 MegaBytes a second. Fucking fast! Its a shame that such speeds are kinda worthless these days, since most servers operate much slower.

Got a new contract from now on:

Big improvement for me indeed! This is also the maximum possible in my area. I will check later with the customer's support but from what I found out on the net 4mbit is the max. Anyway, for me that is more than enough. Still gets me more porn than I have time to watch  ;-)

What i currently get via virgin media's 20Mb/s service and this is also via a wireless network but i'm sure if i tried it directly connected to router/modem i'd get higher.

Not that bad, yet nothing impressive. Works for me as long it does not disconnect.

I'm not the kind of person who uses peer to peer so it's fine for me.

    really :p

funny thing on that pic is that 42kb/s is not 0.42Mb/s, it's 0.042Mb/s -___-
( edit: scratch the above, i need to start thinking before i type. Left it there so that you can laugh at it :) )

in any case, whatever it is, im pretty happy with the connection. It's quite stable and there's no hurry in a ready world :p

I just did a test on my so called 100mbps connection. I never got 100mbps as you'd expect but the results are still pretty good and these were done while I'm seeding a load of torrent files foe UK-Nova.
