Poll : Your internet speed

Lol, you guys fucking depress me! :110:
I'm still having my 4mbit bandwith. To be honest, I don't even use it that much. Whenever I'm downloading anything except for drivers/apps from distributor's pages, the speed is below my max of 550kb/s anyway, mostly at 350-400kb/s. What the hell would I do with 47mb/s? What the hell are you doing with that Matthijscoman? ^^

 

My so called 20Mbps connection without any torrent programs running or anything that could affect speed and i get this:



Even though i use wifi i normally get 2-3 times+ this speed

 

On the Gadget Show last week they went to south korea and reported that some people have 1000MPBS, yes One Thousand! They can download a HD blue Ray quality movie in minutes! That's mad!

Yeah i seen that and was like wow because i always though my 20Mbps broadband was good but seeing that you can get 1000Mbps and they said something about its price in korean money and then said that it was about £10 GBP.

But seriously, I don't have a clue what to do with it but it was a free upgrade.

 

Desperately need to upgrade.

 

I should have 10Mbit, but they recently change my modem so maybe I got some upgrade. On the other hand my sister have fiber optic in her flat and can have up to 1Gbit for about 50 USD/month

 

Last sunday I switched to a 3G HSDPA connection for my phone, the speed isn't great yet and the ping still sucks (thought it changes from 50 to 500ms all the time) but it's way better than the 640kbps download speed I have in my home connection.

 

Not exactly fair though. (^_^);

 

I'm in the process of switching to Fiberoptic, for now here's my speed.

 

Using a USB and PCI Wifi card together on a 20Mbit connection i get the following speed.



I know i shouldn't be expecting to get exactly full speed because of many factors involving wifi and my connection but i'd have expected a little better speed more like 10-15+mbit at least.

 

Ill have to post my result from school. Stuck Utorrent on a flash drive and took it to school ISOHunt isnt blocked and downloaded films (800mb) from there in 3 minutes!

My new N wifi PCI card on my G router - Hmm not much better than with my previous now dead/broken setup but need to get a N router and do a test.
