PCE didn't get a port of SF2 Turbo. Only Champ Edition.

Given that a lot of games were ported by entirely different teams (MK, NBA Jam, all the Disney games were done by SEGA on the Genesis) it varies from game to game, some games on the SNES look/sound terrible compared to the Genesis, but some games on it make the Genesis (or even 32x (*cough, cough, DOOM*)) seem terrible.

I happen to have a PC review copy of this game for some reason. As far as I recall, it was developed for Mac first, with PC close behind (Bungie were a Mac shop at the time, as this is pre-Microsoft Bungie). I've only put a small amount of time into the PS2 version so I don't know exactly how different it is, but the PC version has the better visuals.

The downside to the PC version is that it used a pretty convoluted control scheme for the time, and always felt like it needed a controller. Would love to see an updated PC version with XBox controller support.

It's also notable for using voice actors that were well-known in anime circles at the time. Amanda Winn-Lee plays Konoko, for example.

Oh hey, it's Stormin! Madboards reunion all up in here :p

I suspected Oni was PC focused. As to controls, it's funny, the PS2 versions feels like it should be played with a mouse and keyboard due to the "WASD + mouse look" style of movement and camera control.

Graphically, they're basically the same, but the PC version allows for much higher resolution. The control scheme was a little unusual, but once you got used to it, it worked pretty well.

I have a funny story about Oni. Once, my cousin was visiting, and he brought his PS2. He rented Oni for it, and had been playing it a lot. I happened to have a demo of the PC version too. As a prank, I told him I had a PS2 emulator on my PC; this was in 2001 or 2002, and playable PS2 emulators didn't exist at that time. I set it up so that, when he put the disc in my DVD drive, the demo would load. He was totally surprised when it loaded and was fully playable. He was fully convinced I had a working PS2 emulator. Then I told him the truth, and he was pretty embarrassed. As far as pranks go, I thought it was pretty clever.

Nope, they did not. They only did them on Nintendo systems. Sega and Virgin did the disney games on the Mega Drive. They were better too in my opinion.

Wouldn't the 3do version of Street Fighter 2 Turbo be the best port or was it lacking many things the other console versions had?

And Bubsy was much better sounding and looking on SNES than it did on the Mega Drive.
