Possibility to repair a Sony Bravia 32" LCD. What would you do?

OK, then good luck in finding a new panel for a decent price that will turn that TV into a new one, since the panel itself is certainly the most expensive parts in that tv anyway

 

Dont spend the money, just wait to pick up one with bad caps you can repair much cheaper. I got my 37 inch Samsung for upstairs like that

This is a 2008/2009 model TV. I don't think this one has USB.

 

Well, I was outbid on the panel. It ended up at over 160$ shipped.

So screw this then, ill just list all the parts on ebay.

 

It may have a service port but

 

i am having a similar issue with my LG flatron dropped and the LCD cracked just like the OP, should i just sell mine as it is or get a faulty one and get the panel repaired

 

Problem is how replacement panels are hard to find and expensive to ship. IF you can find a panel on the cheap I'd say go for it but in my case it did not work out.

 

i may sell it as it is someone can take the controler board and make some use of it!
