for system that failed in the U.S. and developers complained about its difficulty to develop for, the saturn seems to have a ton of games for it japan, everyday i hear about one that hasnt been listed or documented.

That's not a bad idea, my new PC just fried my wifi card and the PCI card from my Emu 1820m system, my long time music buddy was over in the UK to do a record session and by the time we were nearly finished with recording, well it happened. It's all back to the manufacturer, but I can't finish the recording :noooo: .

Hopefully in my case nothing was lost, I always do a backup on Sonar at each important step, we lost so much in the past because of Windows 98,ME and 2000. XP's stable but then when it's not the software it's the hardware

The Saturn was actually quite popular in Japan and for a while near the beginning of it's life actually out sold the PlayStation. Just typical dumb arse western attitudes that killed it off much quicker in the west.

Cause we know the price and silent release had nothing to do with the Saturn's popularity.

Killer of the saturn = lack of games that appeal to a wide western audience.

Today I got Generation of Chaos 5 jp ps2 Limited Box set.
AND tsumi to batsu jp n64.

well it was alot of things, the price was a bit too high, relelasese were very few in the begining, plus alot of people felt burned over the 32x and sega cd, belive me the us release was sadly killed by history and timing mostly, the japanese one had viruta fighter to sell it,and 2d was still accepted pretty well for stuff other then fighters. Pitty though, i prefer playing saturn over psx any day, plus the 3d mostly didnt seem to have that weird break up with a ton of line going through part of the texture, if anyone has played cool boarders or any sports game thats texture heavey youll know what i mean.

Wasn't there a pack that had a bunch of good games with it though.....I mean, expensive PSX with nothing, or Saturn with a bunch of games??

    People picked PlayStation I guess.

Not in Japan. There's just as much crazy shit on the Saturn as there is on the PSX. The thing that killed it was the Mega CD / 32X (real dumb idea), Bad advertising (mostly in the west), Sony's BS, Not being a graphical 3D Power horse from day 1, EDGE and it's so far up their own arse comments (UK Magazine) and a whole host of other crap such as lack of western 3rd party suport since western game players aren't really interested in loads of odd Japanese titles or dating adventures. Still the Saturn is by no means a looser or at least not in the Japan.

Hell, I cannot remember seeing a single ad for the Saturn at all. The reason I even knew about it was that Sega sent me a promotional VHS tape for it around the time that it was released (damn I wish I still had that).

That's because in Japan they could fling dogshit in a box and sega would let them publish it.
