The mags were pretty cheap (rougly 300yen each). The shipping (as expected) was a killer. Probably paid about $10 a mag which is fine to me. There's no way I was going to get them much cheaper any time soon.

I bought Super Famicom Raiden Denestu, Castlevania 4, Sailor moon, and Contra Spirits.

and for the famicom Castlevania 3, twin bee 3, salamander, and gun nac.

    Here's the bad news.

Castlevania 3 has super scrambled graphics.

And pink godzilla doesn't take returns. >_<

Anway I can fix Castlevania 3? Already cleaned the hell out of the cart...

Today I got a PC Engine Duo, PC Engine Duo monitor (Needs the screen fixing) and a few games for under 20 pounds. Great day indeed for shopping. Now I just need to clean the hardware and fix the monitor.

It's a dangerous life buying a new console isn't it? After getting the PC Engine Duo the other day I stocked up on games for it. I know sweet FA when it comes to PC Engine so I'm not sure if I got a good deal on these games. All the Hu-Card games (Boxed and loose) were 300 yen each, the Super CD games were 600 yen each and the Arcade Duo Card was 800 yen.
Games include - Detana Twinbee, Mr. Heli, Arcade Duo Card, Space Harrier, Atomic Robo Kid, Armed F, Final Blaster, Final Soldier, Hyper Dyne Side Arms, Youkaidouchuuki, Aero Blasters and The Ninja Warriors all on Hu-Card and on Super CD there is Garoundesetsu Special (Fatal Fury Special) and Valis IV. You may notice a lot of shooters there. I wanted to get stuff like Kikikaikai but at 5800 yen unboxed they could piss off :D Oh yeah, Marionette Handler 2 for Dreamcast is also in the picture.

The other thing I got was Refrain Love which is a pretty nice sim but what is special about this version is the heart shaped audio CD ! Now I've never seen one like that before.

Welcome to the world of PC Engine mate , there is a lot to buy!!! Dracula X should be your next I bought it a few months ago and it's fantastic better than Symphony of the Night me think!!!!!!!!! Then you should get in no particular order:

    - Super Star Soldier
    - Soldier Blade
    - Bomberman 94'
    - Rayxamber II & III
    - Winds of Thunder
    - Gate of Thunder
    - Y's III (not everybody's fav but I like it)
    - Liquid Kid
    - Legend of Hero Tonma
    - Star Parodia

300 yen for the loose hucard is more than allright, but then everything PC Engine now cost a fortune in Europe especially in the UK.

600 yen for Twin Bee is dirt cheap, paid mine £15 me think ouch... I got my Garou Desentsu for £5 in London the other day so you're all right. But an arcade Duo @ 800 yen are you kidding me???????

I paid my Arcade Pro Duo €45 euros 3 years ago, to use it on my Super CDRom 2 (couldn't find a duo version at the time)...

Aero Blaster is one of my favorite Shooter of all time after Thunder Force indeed!!! For that price it's crazy cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW is it multiplayer that version?

    Cheers

I played it for more than an hour on the CeBIT together with a friend. It rocks indeed, the graphics are absolutely amazing and the gameplay got evolved at the right places... although I played VT to death already, I had to say 'wow' - not just because of the dynamic shadows on their shorts.

Not a good month for games so far :(
Couldn't find a Wii again. Typical, when I'm low on cash, everything I like seems to be available, but now that I have a better paying job, can't find anything on local markets or in mercadolibre.com

Well, got Mortal Kombat for the GameGear and Blue Lightening for the Lynx.
I tought I could not lose, since I was under the impression that MK was a decent translation and BL was one of the killer apps for the Lynx.

So far, MK control sucks since the game is super choppy, and Blue Lightening just does not control like any of the ports of After Burner, tough I guess it tries to be After Burner. Funny thing, both games do seem to push their machines to the limits regarding graphics, they look excellent, but gameplay just isn't there.

It was another PC Engine mania day, today as well as a few other goodies. First let's start of with the Super CD games - Zero Wing (I never knew this was on the PC Engine), World Heroes 2, Psychic Storm, L.DIS, Download 2 and on Hu-Card theres Kenbeito Maden Kannoni, Toilet Kids, Dragon Spirit, Vigilante, Heavy Unit, Paranoia, Wonder Momo and Burning Angels. For the Saturn there's Roommate W, The Convini 1 and The Convini 2. Dreamcast Sentimental Graffiti 2 Sad Window Manami Sugihara and finally Robocop for the Game Cube.
