Me and a friend talked him down to $80 and we go pick it up on Monday. Feels good to finally be buying my first Arcade cabinet and I get to learn a bit by fixing it up.

Considering he says it worked before they moved it I bet something is just loose.

The guy also had an MVS Cabinet (not original it just has MVS artwork on it) he's giving us for free. It's just missing the board for it though.

Looks like I'm going to enjoy the rest of my summer break!

 

@Skaarg Nice deal. Are you going to buy an MVS board or throw in something else?

 

That's the idea. I'd like to find a decent priced 2 slot board since that's the marquee on the cabinet.

Some point too I'm going to have to track down what all I need to play the Mega Man arcade games. I don't know a much of anything about arcade stuff so it'll be a fun learning experience!

 

I bought a PSOne with the official Sony lcd screen attachment and PSU for 20 bucks today

 

These just came in, traded it for a GC game.

 

@Tchoin Those are all classics(except I've never heard of Stunt Race)

 

Stunt Race FX is awesome (and in 3D, no less!). It was one of the first games I had ever rented. and rented again... and again.

 

They are great games indeed! Too bad the boxes fell victims to bad packaging... I traded them with a guy from Argentina through a gaming forum and they seem to be very rookies/amateur in what refers to dealing internationally. I sent my game really well and tight packaged so it arrived in top shape and this guy sent everything in the same way you see it in the picture, but all covered in bubble wrap and tape, inside a big plastic envelope. It was a good bargain nevertheless so I can't complain, carts are in top shape, specially Stunt Race FX which is like new still in its plastic baggy.

Congrats, that's really nice item! What about the battery life btw? I could imagine it lasts a little longer than the Game Gear.

 

Damn right ave, you should get one, it is totally worth it, there's nothing like playing SML2, Pokemon or good ol' Tetris in the dark with this beauty. Pure retro-coolness :033:

I haven't tested battery life to it's full extent yet, but I've been told it lasts long.
