Already got the two lots of official comp leads. Both the S-Video one and the Y-Pt-Pb ones, they were a nice gift from DM7 here when I bought a load of stuff from his ages ago, before I told him the place to be

Don`t know on the controller as got to pick it all up this week-end for the bargain price of £11.50  ....with all 23 games

Just bought the below 2007 Subaru Impresser Si Sports Wagon with only 1200km / 745 miles on the clock for the very nice price of 1'007'000 yen (4'878 pounds / 6'384 Euros) with everything included !

Pictures taken from the dealers home page.

There is a problem though. The car is in Tokyo and I live in Yamaguchi, over 500 miles away ! So I have to wait about a month for it to be delivered to my house no less ! The company selling it, SUGDAS, is Subaru's ex display or lightly used section so they've got quite a few cars to send down here so I have to wait for them to be ready. There's also no stereo in it but that will soon be fixed with a nice HD Navi system  The really surprising thing about buying this car though is that the missus was all for it ! I bet she thinks she'll be driving it. No bloody way:lol: She's got her own little car

It's even pretty cheap from a Japanese point of view as well. These cars normal cost a good half million yen more. The reason why this is cheap is down to two simple dumb factors that really sum up Japanese. One, the colour ! Japanese are really dull when it comes to car colours. Until the last 5 or so years most cars in Japan were either silver, white or black :eek:h: Second is that it's a maunual. Many and I'm talking maybe 70% of Japanese can't drive a real car. By this I mean they can only drive automatics  Not only are automatics lame in ever sense apart from being great for lazy sods but they also use more petrol, no good for snow driving (No engine break you see) and dangerous since you have no real sense of how fast you're going since you don't actually do anything apart from press the accelerator.

Also do they have the new model there as they now do in the UK

My brother works for Subaru and even he couldn`t get a steal like that

Wonder what the costs of shipping and taxes would bring the £ figure up to?

Yeah, the new model came out some time late last year but I really don't like it. The new Legacy and Forester are really nice especially the insides but the new Impresser I just don't like. I've been searching for a good deal on the last model for quit some time now but they're always something like 1.8 million yen then you've got to add registration costs, tax, and road tax. This one is fully paid up for the next two years

In Tokyo there's an awful lot of competition within the same company so you can sometimes find really crazy prices like this car I've bought. What's even more shocking is to know that they willingly will send it 500 miles on a truck for only 40'000 yen, about 200 pounds. I tried all the Subaru dealers around here yet no one had anything in the last run of older models for under 1.8 million. You can buy a brand new standard version of the latest Impresser for that much !

Insane, a car like this and in such a like-new condition with only 745miles would cost no less than 10k euro in Germany!

Thats a great bargain, hope you enjoy it, particularly since the newest impreza just looks like generic hatchback crap...

THis isn't a WRX (it's the Si Sports) but the next one down in engine size but still very nice. The WRX version has a whopping big air intake on the bonnet and cost 3 times more in insurance for something not that much more powerful. Still, the one I got can be also bought as a saloon or Sedan as they say in the states however I got the estate/wagon type because theres more room in the back for the baby's pram/push chair etc. So power with room rather than just power. Also very handy when I go hardware shopping for customers.

I see. Nice find yakumo. I can relate on insurance costs. I got a 93 lexus (gs300/toyota aristo) and to get full coverage on it cost qutie a bit so i'm forced to only have limited liability. Plan on doing any rallying with that thing around japan?

Funny you should say that. We have many very cool Initial D style roads not far from where I live ! One day I'll take it for a good spin around there when they close off the road for some "illegal" street racing. Well, I say Illegal because it is but the police do sod all to stop it. They even turn up at times just to make sure it's safe. However do this on an open main road and you'll be in deep trouble. Sometimes it's great to live in the countryside of Japan

man i want to live in japan.... its not fair.

Great price on that Impreza Yakumo.. Shipping wise, would still see the total landed cost on that car at under £10k easily....

And i know why you went for an estate.. the joys of being a parent eh?!

If you take the smaller container it will cost you around 3000 USD from harbor to your door. Tax I think should not be more then 15% from buying price.
