What appears to be a former kiosk GBC, complete with the non-playable GBC promo demo ("Nintendo Game Boy now in Color!", showcasing Tetris DX, Wario Land 2 and Zelda LA DX, I believe) The system itself works perfectly fine but looks pretty awful - note the difference in color between the bright patches at the upper/lower edge and the rest of the case.

Also, as there's no indication of its kiosk life besides the dirt, like a different model number or whatever, I'm thinking of cleaning it up and just giving it to my little brother (or rather to my mom, to limit how long he's allowed to play it, etc).

The demo cartridge I'll keep, as it's the main reason I bought this :)

I found a box of factory sealed saturn sample discs in the loft yesterday. It turns out that I put them up there 2 years back when we moved in to this new house.

EDIT: Oops, wrong image. That's of stuff recently bought. Found stuff image coming later.

Was at my sisters for a BBQ at their neighbours in the afternoon then to watch the David Haye fight later on and my bro-in-law gave me Spider man 2 and Wii play. Sure they are not the best games ever but any free games are good.

While i was out today i picked up Adidas Power Soccer and Gran Turismo for the PS1 just so i could get a few more PS1 games since i have very little plus i loved playing Gran Turismo when it first came out.

Ah, they were the days. A time when packing was important. With the likes of bloody EA trying to do away with manuals it won't belong before they try and do away with hard media altogether. You know, many people say there's nothing wrong with the casual gamer but I disagree. If they never came along I honestly think gaming would be more interesting than it is today. Saying that, there are still some cracking games being made.

I decided to install Steam again today and I'm sort of glad I did - I noticed the store is having a sale and I picked up the complete Valve pack with 26 games for £25, reduced from £50. I still need to get the graphics card for my new PC so I'm just going through Half-Life: Source with my onboard graphicsm which surprisingly can run the game in max detail @ 720p (for the uninformed the source version is the classic game running on the newer engine)

Glad i waited to use my 30 days free PlayStationPlus. Going to get:

What kind of on-board graphics do you have?? I'm downloading TF2 onto my laptop with Nvidia graphics which should be just enough to run the game till i get my graphics card problems sorted out. I bought a new card only for it to give me artifacts on my screen straight after installing it and turning my PC on 9the day after i got it), sending it back and going to get something else.

I have an Intel i5 2500k CPU with the newer Intel HD 3000 GPU (non-k version and 99% of Intel's other CPU have the Intel HD 2000) - it is MUCH better than the nVidia 8600M GT discrete GPU in my laptop. I also assigned it 128Mb of my DDR3 1600MHz RAM (default is 64Mb) to help it along and for DirectX9 games at least the results are excellent. I still need to buy my GeForce GTX 560 Ti yet but wallet still says no, but the onboard graphics will more than tide me over a couple of pay days until I can afford it, at which point I'll start using the Lucid Virtue software with my Z68 motherboard to use them both in iGPU mode.

Ahh cool, not used anything new with integrated graphics so not sure how they perform compared to old integrated graphics.

I have a Quadro MVS 110m on my laptop which can run source games about playable at lower resolutions which should be ok till i get my desktop graphics card RMA'd and then i can get a replacement.

I have an i3 (3Ghz x4) with the same Intel HD onboard graphics chip. It's very powerful for an onboard chip. I was giving it a test yesterday running 2 Model 2 games at the same time on two different screen. Not a problem

Got my £13.36 (posted) PAL Saturn from eBay today. It came with 1 pad and the official RGB cable that the very first model comes with.

Gave it a quick once over with a wet wipe and voila:

Then I did a few "mods". Hard modded it from EU to JP, and then did a permanent 60hz mod. I then bridged the lid switch so that it always thinks that there's a disc in, so that I can do the swap trick. And here it is playing an original JP game as it should be playing a crappy PAL game. :D

Chuffed, even if it looks poo on an LCD. Waiting on a PVM..
