I just bought the Fear Complete Pack (First Encounter Assault Recon, FEAR Extraction Point, FEAR Perseus Mandate, FEAR 2 Project Origin & FEAR 2 Reborn) @ £6.79, Painkiller Complete Pack (Painkiller Black Edition, Painkiller Overdose, Painkiller Resurrection & Painkiller Redemption) @ £4.49 and the Penumbra Collector Pack (Penumbra Black Plague Gold Edition & Penumbra Overture) @ £3.99 in the Steam Halloween Sale.

I can't really afford them at the minute, especially now my cripple money has been messed up at a time when I have a lot of outgoings... plus I probably won't play them any time soon but meh that is impulse buying for you!

On an interesting side note I competed in a Painkiller PvP Tournament when the game first launched. It was hosted by a company called iGUK or VGA owned by non other than Sujoy Roy of Quake fame. I never played the game before that day and naturally being the pimp that I was (especially before my crash damage) I dominated the online game. Towards the end the webcafe lost conneciton to the tournament servers and it was a few minutes before I could recconnect to the game. And guess what? With minutes of downtime on a game I had never played on a system and environment I was uncomfortable in I came joint first (or lost out by a single kill, I forget which). I allegedly won some prizes but I never did receive them. Oh well...

I also forgot to post I picked up Inception on Bluray for £6 and a Doctor Who talking Cybermen mug for £9 when I was in Cardiff on Tuesday.

EDIT: Now I've just bought another game I can't afford at the minute... Devil May Cry 4 @ £6.99 in the Steam Halloween Sale.

EDIT: Now I've bought 2 copies of Evil Genius @ £1.75 each in the Steam Daily Sale. I gifted one copy to my brother, the other is for myself.

I just wouldn't be arsed with cartridges only. To me it feels no different than playing ROMS from a flash cartridge. Still, some nice games there. I noticed you went for the full Ranma collection. One series that I had in full completely mint at one point in time.

It must be nice in a home like that.

Us with a crippling lack of space can't afford to have valuable room taken by boxes we won't even use... :(

Well as you know I keep moving back and forth so I can't keep loads of game boxes, even if I wanted to :( Although most of these games were cheap and I bought them so I can play them and should be able to sell them once I need to move on.

I remember paying 30 quid for the first Ranma 1/2 game back in the day (I still have it...), was quite surprised to find them all though especially the same day.

Although ironically I do have a reasonable SFC and FC collection, but most of it is in boxes in a underground (dry) storage space in a private car park under a large arts centre. My collection is packed into boxes which take up about 3m by 2m by 2m.

It's all a matter of how much you're willing to put up with :p
Even the tiniest room will take 1000 boxed games at the least! Plus hundreds of magaines, some DVDs, hardware-setup and a bed. It's gonna look geeky as hell, but that shouldn't be an excuse not to buy more items?

As I want to sell it before I leave Japan, I shant say but it was less then the cost of a new PS3 or Xbox 360 game in Japan.

Too bad the money's lost forever, too. :p

Seriously, how can you get yourself to spend so much money on a market like steam? That's like throwing a $5 bill into the garbage can every day. No chance to get even the most marginal portion of your money back, ever. It's even more economic to buy sports titles upon release.

Bought today from ebay (140$) - pretty expensive, but I like the condition. Was looking for this thing in such state for quite a while.
