I picked up a boxed 32X today, not too bad for $50. Other recent grabs include NiGHTS w/3-D controller bundle, Japanese NiGHTS, Japanese Christmas NiGHTS, Zelda: Wand of Gamelon, World Series Baseball for the Genesis, and Mortal Kombat for the Vita.

Got a super famicom myself boxed with a converter to play snes games, wouldn't sell it for the world. Yeah the av and power brick thing is odd, but considering the country it might of not been a crazy buisness model. Plus Genesis/Mega Drive model 1 power adapter works with it. I myself want find an official super famicom s-video cable as I think the composite/s-video combo cable universal cable I use might not be outputting real s-video.

Today I picked up three xbox 360 titles.

Dead or Alive 4 ten dollars
    Soul Calibur 4 seven dollars
    Samurai Shodown Sen. ten dollars

On SS sen, I am enjoying this game. It definitely carries the Samurai Shodown essence over from the older games and while not eyes pop out of head stunning, it comes off as solid. I do wish the referee was included and some of the wild cartoonish moves are missing, making this title somewhat more plain and rigid. It reminds me of a rival schools clone minus the manic color and expression but again, still has the essence intact. Also, what is with the dark environments that are in this game and king of fighters 12, there is no technicolor vividness and all the levels seem steeped in shadow and somewhat muddled. It's as if SNK Playmore's developers are building their games in an opium den.

Thanks to Assembler and Sonik for the help. The Arc The Lad DVD was a surprise from Assembler, wasn't expecting another item on the package. =]

Went ahead while grocery shopping and waltzed over to the used arcade shop.

    Picked up:

    $5.00 BattleFantasia 2-d Xbox 360 fighter
$10.00 Blazblue Continuum Shift 2-D Xbox 360 Fighter

These fighters are strong, ages 6 and up commercial anime, part eat too much Japanese plastic export culture and throw it up on a game. Wipe away and strip the design elements down and you have fairly good gameplay mechanics.

Battlefantasia does have an interesting line up of characters while having a strong JRPG motif superimposed. It shows the hit point count of every attack, but still has a classic life bar. Overall it's alright.

Blazblue feels like Guilty Gear and from that angle, it's very good. I enjoy this the best of the two but yeah, it would be great if they hadn't wrapped it in the decadent heights of Western Japanese invasion.

Overall , not bad, especially for the price of a few frozen pizzas.

    bought these two today :)

they're rather interesting, another is a proto and both seem to be equipped with memory dumpers and filemanagers to access flashroms directly.
one seems to be broken though, no service with any SIMs, been too lazy to take it apart and see what's going on yet :p

I've been wanting to upgrade my car satnav for a while now. I planned on buying a Google Nexus 7 and using Google Maps but guess what? In Japan you can't save maps off line and there's no Android satnav app that's any good for Japan either. It's all due to satnav politics in Japan. Wankers!. So I really wanted an Android powered system in the car for ease of use, no issues with movie formats (thank you Apple for pissing me about for years) and a nice music players with a cool front end.

It turns out that there are Android powered Satnav systems made for Japan! Great stuff.

    navi-box.jpg

While it only has a 1.2Ghz processor is it very capable and runs SNES, Mega Drive, PC Engine emulation perfectly. The screen is also nice to use. Good capacitive screen however it's not 720p but I don't mind.

    navi-apps.jpg

Loads of apps pre-installed including Google Play Store however it won't bloody connect so I'm having to use other stores at the moment. I've installed Go Launcher too. It's a lovely front end which I also use on my phone.

    navi-side.jpg

There are two cameras on the satnav / tablet being front and back. The front one is awful however the back one is not bad. Takes good enough shots and video at 720p. The feel to the back is also quite nice and doesn't feel cheap at all.
    Various ports including HDMI out.

    navi-tv.jpg

As you can see, it plays 720p MKV files just fine plus they look good. Far better than this photo show. It also has built in Oneseg TV (Cheap style mobile digital TV) that is popular in Japan. So you also watch TV on the move. Not sure why you’d do that since Japanese TV is awful at the best of times.

Overall I'm very happy with this satnav / tablet.

Tablet style hm... From a quick store demo glance, Sonic CD seemed nice looking on whatever model it was I saw.
Not that it'd control well lol.

Sonic CD on Android is just the same as the 360 / PS3 version. Controls great with a Blutooth pad. I use the Mega DRive emulator for Mega CD games on Android though. Works just fine. Even PlayStation works just fine on my phone. Runs like crap on this Satnav/tablet though.

That looks really clunky. I bought a RAmos w17, couldn't be happier. 1.5ghz, 1 gig of ram, and 16gigs of storage built in.

Just picked up my preordered copy of GEARS OF WAR: JUDGEMENT from the local Microsoft Store.
Pretty good deal. Pre-ordering gets you:

    *The Game
    *1600 MS Points
*Free download token for Gears of War 1

Not bad at all. Now this is how you do preorders!

It's made for in car use so it needs to be a bit more robust but it's far from clunky. Originally I thought it only has a single 1.2ghz CPU but it turns out to have a dual core 1.2ghz CPU plus 3D accelerator chip. Runs android 3D games really well such as Need for Speed Wanted. I've now got it running a new front end so it looks better. I did a video of it running on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHZxtrJofTM

Continuing my surprisingly fruitful unexpected trend on PS2 games. Just won more auctions.
This is putting me closer to wanting XRGB, resistant as I've been. My set doesn't accept 240p component.

$5 Anubis Zone of the Enders (JP)
    $1 Yakuza (JP)
    $1 Yakuza 2 (JP)
