Guns of Icarus Online Collectors Edition 4 Pack @ £10.19 in the Steam Daily Deal.

The price for a single standard copy was £5.09 and my friend and I were interested in the game for it's steampunk quirkeyness, airships and co-op love. For the price of 2 copies individually it made more sense to go halves and buy the 4 pack for the same price, gift the spare licences to our other co-op partners and get a free collectors edition upgrade to boot.

EDIT: My co-op partner just lent me £20 and I pre-ordered Resident Evil 6 via Steam too.

It is the first game I've pre-ordered since Orcs Must Die! 2 last year. I know it isn't quite the same as the classic tank style RE any more, but I quite enjoyed RE 5 so if this is more of the same it isn't a big deal for me. It isn't worse per se, it is just different, though yeah I do miss the original survival horror experience. As I already have RE5 and my main co-op partner does too I'll gift my free copy to a worthy partner in the future, but as I've already played it to death with 2 different people on PS3, I'm in no rush to play it again, especially without a cloud save system!

Picked up four xbox 360 games today.

    The King of Fighters 12
    Akai Katana
    Final Fantasy 13
    Rockstar Games Table Tennis

After playing Deathsmiles, I am now seeking out every 360 shump and after watching the God of hardcore's "retrograde arcade" video containing Akai Katana, I was happy to find it locally. It is a pro gear 2.

Regarding Final Fantasy 13, I took the plunge and will now either be content or bitter, but at least I can see where Final Fantasy has gone this last couple of years.

Next is scavenging for other cave releases and now hunting for Raiden 4.

Being on this site has rekindled my collector's spirit and I am now hunting for PS2, Sega Saturn and Gamecube bundles. No need to touch 16 bit considering the efficient emulators. I will pick up the 16 bit hardware to reflect on the era but no need for games with the roms. Saturn, PS2 and Gamecube emulation is rough though so hardware it is.

To think I sold my entire collection a few years ago. Well, this time I am only going to focus on what I enjoy and play the games rather than staring at them for hours like some kind of freak.

I treated myself to a Super Famicom today with a load of games and a nice Hori Fighting Pad. Oh, and let's not forget Rocket Knight for the Mega Drive.

Here's the set. Believe it or not, the brand new RGB cable cost more than the Super Famicom!

The Super Famicom is in lovely condition. No nasty yellowing at all. I'll never use the control pads though because the cables are just way too short.

What a beautiful picture it has when running through the Framemeister.

The SFC may come with 2 controllers but it doesn't come with any PSU or AV cables because Nintendo automatically thought everyone who'd want a SFC already owned a Famicom. Pretty big headed if you ask me. Of course they sold the PSU and AV Cables separately though for those "unfortunate" enough to have never owned a Famicom.

The Super Famicom cost 25'000 yen at launch.
AV-cable: Two cables were available, one for 1200 yen (mono audio) and one for 1500 yen (stereo).
    RGB-cable: 2500 yen at launch, nowadays it's more like 5000 ^^
AC-Adaptor: There was no official AC-Adaptor for the Super Famicom, you had to buy an official or third party one for the Famicom. I use one by Hori.
They changed the packaging after the SFC came out, but it's still the same adaptor as in 1983 and it also uses the same serial number as back then: HVC-002, albeit SFC uses SHVC serials. In 1995, it even said "Also for Virtual Boy" on the box :D

Yeah, Nintendo behaved a bit like a dick in 1990 until 1993 :D They also sold their Famicom AV (the grey one) with two controllers, but also no AC-adaptor and cables! Crazy from today's perspective.

    @Borman
True, but other companies aren't that much better sometimes. Both 360's and PS3's sell with a composite cable although they are capable of 1080p, it's ridiculous.

But I think it's still reasonable from their perspective because there are a lot of people who just don't care. A friend of mine said that his friend was so happy after buying a PS3, so he was invited over to take a look. My friend was shocked by the super grainy picture quality and asked him what was wrong with his screen - turns out he connected the PS3 via composite to a 1080p Plasma and was still happy and amazed by the graphics. ^^

Thanks for that ave, good information :)

Even with the new model crapstation3 (I called it crapstation3 because the build is bad) comes with AVs, just weird. a $10 HDMI can't cost THAT much to include -_-
