True but even the second one is becoming expensive now.

 

More Mega CD love today with Robo Aleste. Much better than the censored Western release too.

 

What did they change in the western release?

 

Sega Retro says they made the game easier for the West (why did they always keep doing that?)

 

The western versions looses the mech from the title screen, some nudity was cut and as sonicsean89 said the western version is easier. Not sure why as the Japanese version isn't over the top on difficulty.

 

Is there much Japanese that would hinder my enjoyment of the game? Have both a model 1 sega cd and Japanese model 1 mega cd and the Japanese version seems more reasonable price wise.

 

The story is all in Japanese but you don't really need the story for a shooter.

60 SFC box protectors arrived today from thed states. Pretty happy with the quality to be honest.

 

It's ironic that they came from the States, since SNES boxes are a totally different size.

After two months (most spent on the brazilian customs) my orders from Aliexpress have arrived.
- PS2 TO HDMI converter - 3 times cheaper than at MercadoLivre. Will try to post a review of it.
- PS4 Dust Protectors - Got it just for the input ports protectors.
- Zenfone 5 Flipcover - Just like the official one, way cheaper.

Then i saw this on MercadoLivre for 39 Reais, brand new and sealed. Couldn't resist.



It has all the updates till 2.07.

 

1 day late but worth the wait for an import copy just to make sure 100% it's in English. Bit bummed about it being the Canadian version. Packages look so messy with multiple languages on them. Oh well.

 

I got this gem in the mail a few days ago.

I saw the listing go up on eBay and immediately messaged the guy asking what he wanted for it. He said $400 so I countered $350 with shipping included and he agreed!

One of the nicest ones I've seen. The console was never opened as the stickers are intact on the bottom. I tested a couple different games and they all work great, so no Thompson drive related dirty disk errors.

 

Actually it still might be American version since now it's more common for North American releases to have multiple language on back of package so they don't have to make a different back cover for Canada.

 

Ah, I didn't know that. The disc is made in Mexico if that's any help. I wanted the Asian version as they are commonly more rare and always in English. Still, I'm very happy with this game. Played the prologue yesterday. Questioned many times to WTF was going on but still loving it.

 

It might have been the US version, but I've seen most here are just in English, except most soccer games are English/Spanish, and you can find hockey games in English/French (probably make more Canadian copies cause it's hockey).

 

I knew i should have messaged the guy. I was the one who bid on it when it was only at $99. very jealous at the moment. XP nice score.
