Post everytime you buy something game related and your unbelievable deals

I've been eyeing a Sega Saturn multitap for a while. The cheapest I had seen on Ebay was $32 with free shipping. I just won an auction for one for $22.50 with free shipping. Not bad.

 

Dark Souls III arrived today, two of them! Actually I originally ordered the Japanese NORMAL edition as it was 5500 yen. I knew it had English voices but wasn't sure about the text. turns out the text was Japanese only. So I spoke with the store and am able to return it. So, I ended up ordering the Canadian version but that cost 8500 yen! And it's supposedly the cool day 1 edition but do you know, I think the standard Japanese edition is better!

So here are the two editions. The western one comes in a card slip case while the Japanese one comes with something that looks like a book.


With the western day one edition you get the game and OST (in the same case) plus a DLC for the original Dark Souls. Oh and some crappy starter guide from Prima. In the oldern days this would be called a game manual.



The Japanese normal version also comes with the OST but in a very nice slip case which looks like a book. It also comes with a double sided poster on very thick material like paper. This is really high quality stuff. Feels as you'd expect a map to feel.



I'm not sure if the Japanese version comes with a Dark Souls DLC code as I can't open it due to needing to return it. It probably does have a manual though as there seems to be a bit of weight to the box.

 

On top of a few Virtual boy and Dreamcast games that came in..this little gem arrived in mail today.

Oops sorry, I blocked that! It's PS4. Still no VIta here but now that i'm hooked on Senran Kagura it's got me wanting to go back and play the original 2 that were'nt on PS4...

I wish I'd known about Limited Run earlier or I would have gotten "Saturday Morning RPG" as well. EBay'rs have alreadly almost tripled the original cost on that one

 

Found a copy of Way of the Warrior complete for $25 at The Exchange.



Also Five Below (a store where nothing's more than $5, hence the name) had PES 2015 for the XB1 for $5. I think that's the first Xbox One or PS4 game I've seen there.

The most expensive "junk" I've ever bought. All 30,000 yen of it! And that is cheap in this day and age. I pray to God it actually works.



I did own both a Sega and Victor Wondermega in the past, BOXED!! But sold both like an idiot. I'm sure those who bough them were happy though.

Yeh me too! Sold my boxed Sega one years ago and regretted it ever since. That motorised CD lid was a dream!!!

In my experience most "junk" items from Japan usually do, I'm pretty sure you have had other stuff @Yakumo that has been junk and worked?

I actually found a Dreamcast game I didn't have in the wild for under $50, Star Wars Jedi Power Battles was $15.

Also I got the Wii version of the new Skylanders game for $20, with the Bowser Amiibo.

Well, the good news is that it works! I'm very happy with that. The bad new is that it is quite filthy so it needs a proper clean and the CD door mechanism is a little sticky when opening. A bit of WD40 should fix that issue.

I also got a few games with it including the "3D" cover version of Jaguar XJ220.


It's currently running via S-video. It's not a bad image but you can tell it's not RGB. Such a shame the Wondermega can't do RGB without modding.


As you can see it is pretty filthy





After a good clean it should look as good as new.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago i got this from my friend's game store.

 

Now that's one I've never heard of before.

It's a good racing game. Being released months after GT4 probably didn't help sales.

Still, some people that worked on it were later hired by Polyphony Digital.

Nice work cleaning the Wondermega. It looks amazing!

 

I was driving around with a friend and stopped by a half priced books that was having a 20% off everything sale.
This was sitting in the locked display near the front of the store.

It says brand new but it's just complete in box and at only $80 before tax I couldn't really pass on it.

Overall the box is in very good shape besides it being a little beat up around a few of the corners. I still need to get around to testing it all out but they do that at the store so I doubt anything is broken.
