Yesterday I ended up picking up a brand new old stock 500GB PlayStation 3 Super Slim for AU$99. Sure the box was damaged for being in storage for 4 years but it was immaculate. They used to be AU$299. I'll send a picture soon.

Here are my latest gaming pick ups along with a trip down to the shops, bike ride and a nasty looking but tasty burger.

 

Got a pretty good deal and was surprised at how minty everything was. Can't wait to play it, but debating on whether I should wait for the HD version next year..hmm

I'll be expecting a 60GB PlayStation 3 CECHC02 soon within the next week. According to the seller, it has the rare firmware version 2.76, so not only does it still have the Other OS function (which was disabled by the 3.21 update), but it also has the original XMB and startup sequence (and not to mention the seldom forgotten PlayStation 3 game start jingle which was removed in the 3.00 firmware update). I paid AU$209 (excluding shipping was $166). The only issue it has is the disc drive, which is an easy fix anyway. I'll send an image when it comes!

I purchased a PlayStation 3 60GB (CECHC02) today for a price you wouldn't believe. AU$99!! It came with 4 controllers (2 Dualshock 3 and 2 SIXAXIS), 16 games (most of them were PlayStation 3), the genuine Blu-Ray movie remote (the early one with the Spider-Man writing) and all the cables needed to make it operate! I'll send an image very soon!

Nice, so this is the one you are referring to? or there is another unit with the lower firmware?

This one is another unit. I didn't look at it close enough to realise that it's actual model designation is CECHC04 (no big deal). This particular unit has firmware version 4.82, so no more Other OS or the original startup. This system however won't be used for the time being as it's completely affected by dust (I'm surprised it hasn't been affected by the YLOD). For AU$99, I can't complain though!

I'll send a picture of the 2.76 OFW 60GB PlayStation 3 (CECHC02; Australian model) tomorrow morning!

Got a pioneer cld-a100 with a nec pac and sega pac
It wasn't a "super" steal but I got a reasonable price for the unit and both pacs
Finally got it to work today after transplanting some parts
I'll eventually replace the caps. The sega pac has no leakage what so ever and is super shiny.
edit: the knob I put back on btw

 

game play wise it's not really hot but the humour is oh boy! (especially in current climate)
Wonder Mr. D keeps his own mecha suit under the W.H. with tsundere secretary on standby

 

I say it's about time to expand my Sega Saturn library.

 

Traded in a Day One Xbox One at GameStop towards the black Xbox One X console. GameStop was running a promotion for $200 trade-in value towards the X (ends today the 28th). Total came to $299 +tax.

Returned the Xbox One X and received $499 +tax store credit.

Purchased the white Xbox One X with Fallout 76 bundle for $499 and added the $60 Red Dead Redemption 2 game with a promotion of $100.00 off an Xbox One X purchase.

They gave me $41.00 , white Xbox One X, Fallout 76, Red Dead Redemption 2 for $299

 

Bought a Wii U along with Mario Kart 8, Zombi U, Nintendo land and Amiibo Festival with the 2 Amiibos.

I know the latter is not highly rated but its nice to have a boxed copy if I ever want to build a collection for the system.

 

After years of thinking finally bit the bullet and paid 9200 yen for the game and strategy guide set.

 

Got some good deals at Sacgamersexpo last month. Not the biggest year for me but still glad for the deals I pulled. Plus, first time i've walked away with hundreds in my pocket so at least I stayed well under budget...lol.

 

Bought two Broadband adapter for Gamecube. NOS, not rare but a nice price (45 euro for both, postage included) and they have consequential mac addresses

 

I ended up having to repair it with some cleaning but it works great now and even without the Box I feel like it was a decent deal at $100. (yes, I have the foot pedals as well..just couldn't get them in the shot..lol)

 

Discounting the huge awesome (and maybe rare-ish??)Sony 3 Minidisc, 3 CD changer, tuner and amp separates hifi I got from 97, as it's not gaming, it's been quiet for me gaming wise.

Did up getting a sealed bog box PC copy of Sim City 2000, albeit the cd rom Classics version rather than the original but still nice to get it sealed in good condition as I have the game digitally on Origin and GOG if I want to play it. I also got a boxed copy of Doom 3 BFG for PC, never played it but want to eventually.

 

Minidisc stuff is still cool. I've got too many players... all Panasonic, I had a thing for the Panasonic ones =P
