£50.00 for Sega Hang On arcade cabinet (faulty), which is a steal!

Even if the motherboard is fried, these cabinets are worth at least £100 on their own.

Can be converted to Outrun with steering mechanism exchange. So, we shall see where it goes.

Nice one on the DSlite that started to work after bought faulty... why do people give up so easily?

For $50, I recently picked up a Wii that wasn't reading discs. I got it with an idea of getting a replacement drive off ebay, but mostly just to open it up & poke around inside without fear of messing up a good unit. Well, as it turned out, the problem wasn't actually reading discs, but that the mechanism wasn't pulling them all the way inside, or properly ejecting. A bit of tweaking later & I had a pretty much functional unit that I can use for homebrew/imports without stressing over bricking it - it still has some trouble with GC discs, but I'm not so fussed about that - maybe I'll fix that later.

I also picked up a PAL 360 off ebay a while back for $50 - the US based seller claimed to be unable to test it. Since I have PAL capable monitors, I figured it was worth a shot - turned out fine, absolutely no problems at all.

Nope, my dads company purchased a new laptop for his branch in sudan. Whoever was clicking the buttons on the dell website obviously went overboard with the options. It had to be packaged and checked at my house before being sent to africa...when the extras were discovered they were sent my way!

Just got a Megadrive Model 1 along with a Mega CD2 together for £6.00 including the postage, both not working.
After replacing the fuse in the Mega CD, it worked on another Megadrive.

So a Mega CD Model 2 for £6.00, I'm quite happy with that.

The wife decided to spring a surprise birthday present on me. My b'day isn't for a few weeks, however she saw something on eBay she thought I might like and snapped it up immediately.

She did really, really well, albeit she's now created 2 major headaches. A) How to get the item here and B) where to store it when it arrives.

Somehow, she managed to obtain Sega Manx TT Twin cabinets for an astonishing £100.00. Delivery will be around £250.00, so I immediately sold a couple of unused items to cover the costs. Even at that, they sell for more than £350.00 normally.

    So, result!

Now to figure out where the hell it's going to go!

    It looks like this: http://www.motobreaks.com/images/incidentals/welcome2.jpg

    She is...

By sheer scale of dimensions this will have to be the last lol

Perhaps that was her intention. One last splurge!
