Ok really? Seriously? What freaking god did I give a blow job to recently...

    http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290457064502

I had been watching this for the past few days and this morning I went out for some earons then came back home 1m30s before the auction ended. I still only saw 1 bid going for it. So at 45s in I threw in a max bid of $150 on the off chance I might get lucky. 10s left, only 2 bids, what?!? 3s only 2 bids. Auction ends and I win a full soul calibur 2 kit for $107.50. WHAT!?!?!?!?

I had one of these like 4 years ago and sold it off for $450.

The Gamate just had a big article in Retro Gamer this month, which probably added some fuel to the fire! Congrats!

perhaps. (but that magazine's difficult to get in the US, and that's where the winning bidder is.)

I still feel like I just lucked into getting the right 2 or 3 people bidding.

    who knows.

Free 60G PS3 (the good one)

I got a free 60G PS3 the one with Hardware PS2 emulation. It needs a drive replacement but that doesn't seem to hard to do so I am very stoked.

I can think of a few great deals, actually:

I got a v1.1 Xbox with 7 controllers, composite A/V cables, an AC adapter, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Limited Edition, Star Wars Battlefront II, and NHL Blitz '03 all for $25 back in October 2007.

I got a black Gamecube with a controller, 16x memory card, Super Smash Bros Melee, Tony Hawk's Underground, Naruto Clash of Ninja, and NFL Street '03 for 4 burnt DVDs of Naruto. :p

I got an early Model 2 Sega Saturn with a Model 2 controller for $20.

I picked up a copy of Virtua Racing (Genesis) at the Goodwill for $2.07 last weekend. It came with the manual, Sega promotional material, and a Sega Visions questionnaire/form.

I also found a very low-number Street Fighter Anniversary controller (#18/10000) for $10 and a platinum Wavebird for about $15 at Gamestop last year.

I bought 3 Playstations from ASSEMbler. All work and at least one of them is a multi-region PAL unit. $5 each. To me, that is a good deal.

I got DS Download Station Volume 1 for $20 just now on eBay, which I think is a pretty decent deal. I also scored a MIB Game Boy Color for $25 yesterday, shipped.

Got 20 NFR DS carts, including 6 Download Station carts, for $225 shipped. It's really two identical sets of 10, so I'll sell off one whole set of 10 for at least what I paid for the lot, and then end up with the rest for free.

I would've waited for the haul to come in from Germany and post a picture, but I'm too impatient.

    With this, I'll have download station carts 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 12, & 14.

It also comes with NFR/Demo copies of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Rhythm Heaven, Mystery Case Files: Millionheir, Professor Layton, DK Jungle Climber, Mario & Luigi Inside Story (EU), and Kirby Super Star Ultra.

I just got a Japanese Famicom in the US at a thrift store!

Came with 15 games(7 of them are pirate carts), power plugs, and an arcade style turbo controller. all for only $30.00! that definitely beats importing one from japan.

Sad thing is some kids stuff probably got donated by their mother when he went off to college.

Easily my best Genesis find to date (even more so than my Unreleased Genny protos). I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

This thing is straight CIB and then some! As far as I can tell, it has all original paperwork, original sticky peripherals still on their sheets (Velcro, reflective strip), 5 Heartbeat fliers, and a bizarre bonus item and sheet detailing the reason it was included was so that this could "ship before the Christmas Season".

I can confirm that the system has it's own stickers on the bottom not directly associated with Sega, and that it will play retail Genny games.

    CIB collection, here we come!

Ha! Naw, haven't seen an even near CIB (lacking several manuals, warranty info, etc.) on EBay since '05. This one took a lot of leg work (and an equal amount cash) to get an owner willing to sell. Unlikely to see another change hands any time soon.
