There comes in my mind - were there zombie children in Dead Rising? I suppose that most likely there weren't, but I just can't remember any more.
No. Most game devs don't put kids in their games. Extremely violent mature rated ones anyway. Fallout 3 being the exception. I think they will get in some trouble when modders start fixing it so kids could be killed. It happened with Oblivion! I think it will get its rating changed to AO eventually. EDIT: Here's my current desktop. Its about the same as Graciano's.
dude, it's awesome when you go to the top of the Washington monument and you can see downtown D.C. just completely obliterated. It's quite an amazing view!
Ditto, except mine are called shit1, shit 2, etc Sometimes i break it down into dev shit, game shit, etc
Just installed Leopard today and was tweaking some things. Thought this was a nice wallpaper for now:
I imagine it is. I need to play it some more tonight. I want to try getting to the Pentagon so I can get some Power Armor for myself. I heard some rumors that there was a mod team out there that claimed they were going to "re-create" D.C. to how it was before it was nuked.h: If they are successful, that would be one AWESOME mod. I'd be content with a Godzilla mod or something.
Windows 7? I just googled it. Didn't Vista just come out? Are they making this OS so its better optimized on weaker PCs or what?
EDIT: In fact Vista developement started right after XP release... By the way, I like what they did with the taskbar, I would do it a little thinner anyway, thought.
I had a big arguement with a dumbass the other day about Vista vs. XP. I can't stand XP anymore and I especially can't stand all the misinformation surrounding Vista. That seems to be why there pushing Windows 7, Vista has a bad reputation for nearly no reason. I've had it since Launch and will never go back to XP. Maybe because there nearly the same fucking thing, but Vista is better. Doh. You wouldn't believe the ridiculous shit I hear/get for using it from retards.
Vista has a bad reputation because people have shit PCs. It doesn't have its own animated GIF file viewer like XP does, that's about my only complaint. The "features" are kind of annoying, but I turn those off.
That's kind of my problem with it. You shouldn't have to have a powerhouse to run an OS. I guess that's what Linux is for, though...
Well, for the first year I had Vista I had a decent but not superman PC. Athlon 3800, 1GB RAM, Geforce 7900GS and it ran pretty damn well. Faster then XP anyhow. But yeah, I have seen Vista run absolutly horrible before, but it is a newer OS. XP was kind of the same when it came out.
Um, no. I've worked with Vista and XP side by side and there's just no question about it - Vista is considerably more bloated, more resource-intensive, and I find it a considerable amount more hassle than XP to achieve the same level of useability. They may be ignorant people out there who slam Vista without using it, but I'm not one of them. I've still never heard a compelling case for Vista being significantly, quantifiably "better" than XP in any area. I guess there are games out now that require it, but that means nothing to me.
Over the weekend I reformatted two computers for people, one Vista, one XP. Vista can be up and running and ready in less then an hour, XP you have to do a little more to get it ready with all the little tweaks here and there. One nice thing is Vista already has SATA. On my machine, Vista is a lot more responsive then XP, on this one and my old one. Thing is, I have always had a decent GPU, so I suspect thats why, but it certainly is faster. But, like I said, I have seen Vista running absolutly horrible on some PC's before. On newer PCs though, I don't want to use XP. If you have XP already there isn't a huge reason to move to Vista...I'm mostly annoyed when people build monster PC's and use XP because "Vista doesn't have a run function" (friend of mine)
