The only cards on the ISA bus are the SNASM2 and the SNServer cards. I've tried without the latter just in case. Top advice on the "battery", I was going to start looking for replacements! I take it that data marks which assemblers and debuggers are licensed for use? I'll try the original SNASM now...
If you have PCI and ISA slots, then there's usually one of each that shares resources. Watch for that, too.
Ohhh, I should check that on my PIII 800 motherboard. 2 ISA and 4 PCI... recipe for disaster. Sorry I haven't checked in with any help. Been stuck at work for 24 hours straight. Now I am about to collapse of exhaustion, sweet exhaustion. I think it might be a job for the weekend if I can find the time. Glad it isn't a battery too. Fat batteries are a pain to find. Working on it. I have too much stuff, I am in the process of getting rid of my consumer grade stuff to focus on dev.
That's the spirit! Leave the consumer junk for the masses where it belongs! I can't even fathom the amount of storage and space you must have to store what you have. Ok, that's worrying, I have no such device. I was under the impression you connected the SNASM2 card directly to the back of the MegaCD (or are you on about the SNASM1?). From the pictures you posted, I can only see one SCSI port, and one very large connector for a 68000. How does it fit between the card and MegaCD? In any case, my SNASM1 card turned out not to be a SNASM1 at all! What on earth did I buy??

Ah ok. It came as part of a job lot of other dev stuff, the seller and I assumed it was part of the gear and didn't give much thought to it. Ok, so I don't have a SNASM1 card then. Back to the SNASM2. Do I need that Console Interface box?
I've just managed to get my dev kit up on the bench. So far the PC can connect and send things to the Mega CD... and I've really started to like that Genesis Sega CD startup tune! Have you had any luck getting yours to do anything? I've decided to try using a newer machine (Pentium III 800MHz) as the my only keyboard for the 486 failed. One thing I did notice though is that in the manual for the SNASM-CD Installation Manual it recommends using two PCs. One PC for the CD-ROM emulation and another for development. Here's some pictures of what I have managed to get showing so far; Edit: Played around 4 and 5 on DIP-SW1 and found that; OFF | OFF = US NTSC ON | OFF = JPN NTSC OFF | ON = EU PAL ON | ON = JPN PAL At least that's what it was according to the Mega EverDrive. CD always seemed to stay as US NTSC. I guess that is changed by flashing something from the PC side.

14, 15, 15 and there's two ends... LOL! The 44-pin metal end goes into the emulator card on the PC and the 48-pin comes from the Mega CD unit emulator socket. 44-pin D-sub type male DHS-44P -> 48-pin (16 column, 3 rows) female white plastic rectangular connector - Elco 8455 is written on the connector. Looks like Elco is now a part of Kyocera. Link here for the connector type. Look at that datasheet, magnificent!
No luck at all. I've spent most of the day trying different configurations. The ONLY time I can get it to do something different is if I set the address to 380, turn DIP 4 off (manual says it's unused...) and unplug the MegaCD. Then it passes the first test, but fails on "Latch Test" and hangs the PC. If I set that unused jumper on, or plug the MegaCD back in, or change the address, I get the first error again. RetroJunkie, what are your EXACT jumper settings on both card and MegaCD? I'll match it and try gain, but I'm fairly confident I've tried every config
