Is there an idea of how much of the game was completed? I'm not too knowledgeable on Project Dream but this thread has poked my interest. I know there was a reported demo with intro and one level.
It's an advertisment for the RARE compilation, nothing more. He may release a video, nothing more I think.
I'd be fine with a video or even screenshots. All we have now are screenshots (I don't remember if there are more than 1) of the N64 version. It would be cool to see what they were working on for the SNES before cancellation, considering that it was said to look even better than DKC.
We've got the cart frozen in the ice key now but am I the only one who sees the label on the cart has changed? We either caught the wrong game or we never had from the start.
I hope it's just so he didn't have to freeze the actual dream cart, and he's not going to pull a "whoops, wrong cart!"
I Just hope that for some reason he goes with smash the Ice, leading to a broken cart, and key. Or thawing it dose not take it till August 4.
Boiling oil. It's as effective as a flamethrower but you get an explosion as well ;*) Those hand-penciled sprite sheets from Knight Lore though, and the ink drawings they were based on--wow!
My dreams were dead long ago lol. But in all honesty - the different label of the cart makes me think he just grabbed a cheap/empty cart and put a label on it to protect the original.
One of the founders of the most trollingest-troll companies in the world trolling? Can't be, the internet doesn't lie.
I can't imagine him being so mean as to tease a long lost game only to have been making it up the whole time. Plus he did have that collection of N64 carts in that original pic along with the Dream cart. I still believe it's real. He's stretching this kinda long, though. I hope it's just all to hold us until the game suddenly gets a special release for Wii download or something. Would there be too many legal problems to prevent that?
It's been a freaking month that he's been teasing this (holy crap time flies). It doesn't seem like he wants it to stop either, the scoundrel. And oh geez, I can't even imagine the collective blue balls around sites like DKVine and Rare Witch Project that Tim's been causing with this.
I sincerely hope to see some gameplay footage out of this cartridge as soon as he thaws it out, and that this whole thing on Mr. Stamper's Twitter wasn't a hoax engineered to promote Rare Replay, and I certainly don't have an XBox One.
