I don't like advertising and find the monetized videos on YouTube most annoying, so I don't put them onto mine. Had to monetize a video a while back to get the extra features on YouTube, it made about 1 cent, lol (they don't even pay out until you get to over $60).

The big ads at the beginning are annoying but the small ones aren't the end of the world. Besides with that amount of views you'll likely get offered partnership if you haven't got it already. Recently got mine through and the revenue per 1k is pretty good. Still it's not all about the money, just a suggestion.

Wondering if you've got the itch to move onto trying something else yet? Must be quite a weird feeling to finally be done with the project after so much time.

Has anyone turned the English captioning on for this video? It's so funny, for example at 20 seconds in:

"is the most comprehensive multi threaded gaming console mate that uses any racial consul hardware without using cloned systems or ammunition"

    LOL.

If you didn't cackle manically and shout "IT'S ALIVE!" when it successfully booted up for the first time, I'd be very disappointed.

    Banjo - don't be a dork about accents. This isn't a playground.

It's pointless, unless you have like 70,000 subs :/

It wasn't a dig at your accent mate, it was a dig at Youtube's captioning system!

Yeah exactly, I was watching a Saturn repair tutorial and the captioning was hilarious.

Anyway props to you Bacteria for a great job.

Got all the links up to date, only space for a couple more if there are any more that is to add. Spent a few hours getting this Unity page finished and made as pretty as can.

If you don't see the page like this in your browser, please go to www.made-by-bacteria.com and press "F5" to refresh.

Best estimate is something like 300 metres of cable in there, between normal wires and shielded controller cables. The most hard-core cart relocation was for the NeoGeo, with as I recall something like about 250 pins I had to relocate so the board could lay flat, wasn't easy!

Haven't watched the video yet, but I remember reading about it some time ago and seeing some of the BIP vids, so I wanted to take a minute and say: CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Based on the videos from when you were still building this, I know it was quite a huge and time demanding project, and it's great to see that you kept working until completing it :)

Yeah, got a few solder burns, burns from hot glue removing the odd bit of skin or leaving blisters, occasional cuts; just the usual.

if you could do a detailed DIY on how to build a unity
or better yet design a kit that we could buy from you to make our own unity that would be great
i would love to do a similar project but am much better suited to step by step how too

this is a fantastic project all those wire solder jobs must of been loads of fun
