You don't have to take pictures, I believe you that it works. TriMesh and me explained to you however why the lifting pin recommendation is there in the first place.

PS1 can run in 50 or 60 Hz mode. When it's running in 50 Hz pin 157 (which is connected to color encoder) is driven low and when it's in 60 Hz it's driven high.
Color fix overrides that behaviour and no matter the mode (50 or 60) it's always low thus using PAL colorburst.

But chip will still try to pull the line high in 60 Hz mode and that might cause problems. That's why it's recommended to simply pull that pin up.

But, if you don't feel comfortable with soldering leave everything as it is now (working for you).
I'd hate to be responsible for pushing you to do this and you end up ruining the console.

I can absolutely assure you that if it's running in 60Hz mode then that pin is trying to pull high. What it does is carry a signal reflecting the internal operating mode of the GPU to the video encoder so that the encoder can select between PAL and NTSC mode. When you ground it, you force the encoder to always operate in PAL mode, and hence you get PAL or PAL60 depending on the frame format.

You will probably be fine - the most likely result is that the pullup circuit on the pin driver will eventually burn out, but this won't have any effect because the signal is grounded anyway. It's just not good practice to tie output pins on chips to power rails because it results in them operating outside their design limits.

Okay...Here's the link with the 2nd pic I used for color mod, they don't mention anything about lifting pin 157.

    Oh well,when I can,I'll lift pin 157.

    EDIT:Lifted pin 157.Double checked that I lifted the correct pin.Now that I lifted it,am I safe?

This PS1 was outputting PAL60 from the beginning. All the 750x-900x and even small PSones were outputting PAL60 when I tried an NTSC disc on them. This colour mod just fixed the scrambled colors the 750x produces when it switches to PAL60.

Um, no... Why did you get that idea? Stock PS1s do not output PAL60 in any configuration (just checked my SCPH-7002 and SCPH-102).
If it were true there wouldn't be any color mod schematic for these models on the net anyway.

Probably your TV is to blame, working correctly in NTSC mode for other models but fails with 7502 you have.

Both my TV Tuner card and TV output PAL60 when I insert a NTSC game, and both devices are working fine.
It depends on what TV you use.

Also,my PAL PS1s output PAL60 all the time when I run a NTSC game, because if I select NTSC-U or NTSC-J I get a B/W picture, while selecting PAL60 gives me a color picture. This happens regardless if there's a chip or not. It's just that PAL60 will come up with scrambled colors on both my TV Tuner and TV.

Well, what other mods can I do to this PS1 other than the colour mod and the chip?
(the chip was already done and the colour mod I did it myself)
