PS1 repair help

    Hey guy I recently received this and I am trying to fix this , here's what wrong with it, when I power it on I hear crackly sounds and no image, and the spindle isn't spinning or anything please help thank you!!

    First thing to check is the power supply - either swap it with a known good unit or check the output voltages (brown = 8V, orange = 3.5V, white = reset active low) - the red and yellow wires are ground. If the power supply is good, check the fuses on the main board - they are those little black things with reference designators like "PS601". Just connect the -ve lead of the meter to ground and check the voltage on both ends of the fuse with the +ve lead. If the fuses are good, then you will get pretty much the same voltage on both ends.

    If you get something like 3.5V on one end and a few hundred mV on the other, then the fuse is blown.

    are the crackling sounds coming from the tv or the console?

    Before you fall down the rabbit hole, check your cables and look at the AV multi connector for damage.

    Then follow TriMesh's excellent advise :)

    Also inspect both sides of the board :)

    So im not the best at electrician things but my brown was getting 11vs and my orange was getting 12vs, all the fuses marked "ps601-ps-605 all had the same vs on each side. also leham I'll attach a video to let you hear.
