    'llo here.
I'm pretty sure that this question has been asked many times, but i do prefer to ask once again than fry something.
I bought a NTSC PS1 (thank you Paullweeze71 :), but as i'm living in France, i would like to swap the PSU board, so i won't need a power converter.
Is it possible to swap a SCPH-7501 PSU with a SCPH-5502 (my first choice as i have two spares), or a SCPH-7502 (my second choice as it was my first modded PS1).
Thank you for your advices !

I believe Keropi planned to do the same when he purchased his as well. He might be able to shine some light on the subject if he had success and what he used (if he already modded it).

Either of those PSU boards will work in the 7501. If you are getting worried about the nominal power ratings marked on the console (17W for the SCPH-7501 against 9W for the SCPH-5502) then don't :) - that's just a result of a combination of the slightly lower efficiency of 120V switching supplies and the different definitions of nominal power between UL and EN - the actual DC output power from the supply is the same.
