Beyond what is listed here: http://maru-chang.com/hard/scph/index.php/english

I haven't been able to find out how many possible variations exist out there. It would seem in the US the main releases were the black, red, and blue. Scouring eBay I've found bright pink, silver, orange and what I assume is emerald from sellers in the UK. Beyond that I've found nothing. Knowing Sony I would imagine they had limited releases of some colors to match the LE console releases but I've never seen them pop up anywhere.

Mainly looking to flesh out a collection as I've got a thing for memory cards.

There was a Smoke and Emerald 2 Pack in the US, it was always hard to find. It was released alongside the red and blue but for whatever reason most retailers only carried the Smoke and Emerald for a short time.

What you refer to as "the back of the memory card" is probably what's on the left of the picture, which is actually the stickers that come with the memory card, not the back of it. I think it's normal for these to have different shades, but I could be wrong.
In my original regular black PS2 memory cards, the PlayStation 2 along with the PS logo are in blue, while the "8MB MEMORY CARD MAGICGATE" is in grey. In the ebay picture, the PlayStation 2 along with the PS logo seem to be the same blue as in my memory card, and the "8MB MEMORY CARD MAGICGATE" seems to be a dark grey.

Still, I'm not sure if it's original, but definitely looks like :)

Well the pink card looks like the To Heart 2 SCPH-10020KI memory card but that does have an image transfered to where the sticker goes onto. It could be a real card but it is hard to tell without opening it up to check...

I have 6 of those pink memory cards and the one in the ebay ad looks just like all the ones I have. Mine are original but didn't come with stickers though. Mine are all from PAL regions, some from the UK some from Germany. One I haven't seen mentioned is the Aqua Blue memory card which is metallic blue. Other colors I have are blue, red, transparent black, emerald, Crystal/clear, and silver along with many many common black cards. ATM am after the elusive ceramic white cards.

Here's my cards, can't find the clear black one, I think its either lost to the point where I'll never find it or it was stolen from me because I don't misplace these kind of things easily. Also the white looking one in the picture is actually satin silver.

Don't know, they all came from the UK and Germany, I think the metallic blue ones are more rare though. I got a lot because of opportunities to get them, not every seller wants to ship to USA. was gonna give my sister a pink ps2 as well so I bought extra controllers but ended up not getting her one because I realized she wouldn't be able to use it in an ntsc country. So I ended up keeping the pink ps2, controllers, and extra cards for myself.

The 2 cards in the middle, the one on the left is crystal and the one on the right im guessing is emerald, not sure but its transparent green. Bought most of those cards from Europe and Australia.

umm ive never seen a memory card nor controller region locked
the only time a memory card can become regon locked is if it has a OSD update installed
and even then the newest FMCB has muli region support
you can install every region onto a single memory card

ive seen the matalic blue one and matalic red one all the time in walmart
they come in a 2 pack

Those are the common red and blue, theyre transparent, not metallic, like the 2 in my picture. The metallic one is not transparent, its painted a shiny blue color and was bundled with the limited edition aqua blue PS2 in Europe.
