    Hey All,
Since my girlfriend had developed a halo2 addiction, i have desided to give up the fight and let her have the xbox... was getting board of Halo2 and people shouting 'noob' and ' i call sniper' in my hear every five seconds...

So anyway, I have desided to go grab an network adapter for my TEST/debug box and take it online... So what games are worth playing?

Im looking for somthing a little less Halo... an MMORPG or i might try Killzone, if its any good... Only prob is, i need a game that will play in ntsc, as im using a tv that does not support PAL... i know most games these days ask you, i guess that is if they were dev'ed outside the UK.

MGS3 Subsistence will be online. I might get an adapter and a Hard drive for my PS2 to play it, too!

Crap, I thought it needed the hard drive for online play. That shows how much I know about Online PS2 games.
Will the Harddrive make the graphics and framerate better, though? I might as well get it, anyway, since Wild Arms Alter Code F needs it to run. How much are they by themselves, or do I need FFXI to get one?

uhg this is why ive played xbox live a total of 45 mins. I know i can turn off the headset but once you know what kind of people you are playing with it doesnt matter. Im a shutup and play kinda guy. I couldnt handle the non stop wave off snobby 14 year olds that sounded half gay.

A good (free) PC MMORPG is runescape. I love that game. You have to give it a couple of days but you will be hooked. the nice person/prick ratio is better than most too.

I dunno, Ive heard more crying on TS3 than Halo 2. I have played Halo 2 a little more than TS3, and have had better experiences. The crying about the mag charger weapon gets old, basically when they are doing the same thing!

Don't get me wrong, i think Halo 2 is a great game, its well balenced, good level design... good matchtypes and the menus are wonderful to use compared to some of the xbox live games ive played... its only and biggest letdown is that it's too damn popular... every kid that got an xbox for xmas got halo2 along with it, and a free trial for live... i loved it when it came out an only the fans of the first one had it...

Some times i can have a good few games with people ive befriended online and get some good teamwork going on in Team Skermish and that... but the rest of the time I just realised i am not actualy having fun playing it...

So what is KillZone like online? I imagine it cant be as bad!

Im waiting for Phantasy Star Universe, which looks to be amazing... i was a huge fan of the first few online games... got upto like level 80 with each release of the game on DC,GC and XBOX...

I'd like to give FinalFantasyXI a try, i guessi could get a US version... but how does it work?

Also, I only have a TEST/Debug ps2... someone said that the HD will not work for me... is that true?

you don't need the hard drive for online play. i do have the online adapter, but still no hdd. And while the loading times can be reduced to praticly none, and that (if you have the hdloader) it will stop using you laser, so there's less chance to get DREs in the future, i never heard of any game getting better framrate nor better graphics, since most of the games that can be ''semi-installed'' on the hdd, like Wild Arms alter code F, are still games that can be played without the hdd, so there's no two versions
on the disc, a normal one and an enhanced one. I think it could have helped making better graphics on the ps2, but no games really used it at 100% (apart, maybe ffXI, but that's a mmorpg)

So, unless some new game would use the hdd, the best thing to do with yours are illegal things, sadly. But illegal doesn't mean immoral, if you have the original copy, i don't personnally know how it could affect something or someone if you install it on your hdd, but that's another story.

Tony Hawk games are pretty fun online thug and thug2 I know there not shooters or mmorpgs but they get addicting. Also If you have the usb headset syphon filter the omega strain seems like it would be fun I have only played without voice and its horrible that way cause you cant even type a message but if you have voice it should be fun.
