We can't still play Tomb Raider 3-4-5. There are still glitches in these games like dark textures. Maybe Krackhen release game fixes for Tomb Raider 3-4-5.

 

Gran turismo 2 too, the car texture is black, in Driver 2 when you go to the save menu you cant see anything here, only the background image, I hope they fix it, this looks like a minor problem with graphics

i try to patch the game using a ntsc version of the game but doesn't work...curiosity: this patch add italian language?

 

I think one of the importhings is the multiple cd games. If we change disc it willl be great. ''Swap disc feauture.''

Cue pops vcd converter tools're not good enough. We could convert iso and img images too.

I think some problems can't fix. But dark pixels must be solved. It must be easy.

 

Found the guilty one : it was SAFEMODE. Removed, and working again. This code is not compatible with this game.

Conflict maybe ?

Also the Left Stick to D-Pad is not working. <-- edit 04222016 WRONG, it works.

I understood now why Crash Bandicoot PAL dont like to be patched to NTSC or runned under NTSC mode - and why I did not see any differences running both with POPS :



I guess it's the same as patching an NTSC game to NTSC. <--- Again, wrong, I triedand it doesnt have such effect.

Hi ! I had some free time these days and I decided to update POPStarter documentation to WIP06 OBT13 - since it was considered as stable by krHACKen himself. It turned very big quickly and because it wouldnt fit in a post or several posts in a forum, I made it a wiki.

Long time POPStarter users wont probably learn anything new, but newcomers wont have to search this massive thread to find what they are looking for.

How to use the translation files.

 

POPSStarter does work with my pen drive but doesn't with my USB External Case, however the usb case does works with OPL. After i select a game with uLE, i'm kicked back to mc0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF. All works fine with my pen drive. Maybe if ii use a different USB Drivers on POPStarter it migtht work....? I guess my USB case needs a driver/module with usb delay...

 

Never mind, i've fixed it by my self. I increased 2 secs USB delay on POPSTARTER.ELF with ToolBox. Thanks anyway.

Originally had the same problem with a JVC 32 inch, the game was Saga Frontier 2, it would only work on SDTV 480i and different screens would have different sizes (using current version of GSM). After plugging the PS2 component cables through the "Switch", I can now use "HDTV 480P", setting in GSM and this fixes the multiple screen sizes. (no need for an IGR trick anymore) (Few updated PS1 Mod Patches, that work Great, Analog to Joystick switch using Cheats.txt is something I will try though).

Using: POPStarter_r13_WIP_06_OBT_20151124 (Mode 9, disable auto pal required, Works with Open Public Loader)
No Results: POPStarter_r13_WIP_06_OBT_20151207 (Using same setup games won't boot, because .ELF popstarter files are in the +OPL partition, most likely, anyhow, sticking with 20151124 for now)

 

What was that huge spanish post all about?

I tried about five different versions of MGS with that tool and all of them crash. In the very beginning when you're supposed to meet the black guy in his cell. Guess I'll have to play a disc at a time and swap the save files.
