    Anybody knows why GSM make POPS crash when it is set to force 480p, and why Xploder HDTV Player doesn't do that?

    Anyone know if one can somehow make PS1 game save icons works more like PS2 icons for uses on PS2's HDDOSD?
    If that can't be done, does anyone know how or has a rip of the icon used to for them in PS2.. maybe just edit the icon on it?

    Does anyone know if "Rhapsody - A Musical Adventure" SLUS-01073 works? I'm just getting a black screen so far.
    Used Compatibility mode 0x06 and does not seem to help any.

    I tested this games just with Mode 7 for if can help krHACKen to improve this Mode or improve any other thing:

    - Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere
    Mode 7 don't have any effect, the ground still remains black.

    - Army Men: Air Attack 1 & 2
    The Mode 7 corrects colors of the stage when playing, although changes the colors of the menu by others incorrect,
    and it is difficult to navigate betwen the options menus because the selection color is changed or not displayed.

    - C-12: Final Resistance
    Mode 7 corrects the darkness of graphics although the distance correction is short, adds too much light to the game and colors
    are a little changed. The character has graphical glitches, flashes (a la Tekken 3) and his feets usually remains buried
    in the ground. Needs Mode 1 for avoid a freeze in menus.

    - Duke Nukem
    Mode 7 fixes completely the darkness.

    - Fighting Force 2
    Mode 7 fixes completely the darkness.

    - Final Fantasy VII
    Mode 7 don't have any effect, the battles still remains black.

    - Front Mission Alternative
    Mode 7 don't have any effect, the robots and some part of the backgrounds still remains black. Also the robots have graphical
    glitches suffering deformations, flickers and sink into the ground when they move.

    - Medievil 2
    The Mode 7 corrects the darkness of the menu and 3D scene although the distance correction is short.
    Then when playing the game all the screen is still black, the character flashes and some voices
    are missing.

    -Tomb Raider Chronicles
    The Mode 7 corrects dark textures, but adds too much light to the game, and is hard to navigate through menus
    because the selection color of the options is changed or not displayed.

    - Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation
    The Mode 7 corrects dark textures, but adds too much light to the game.

    Best regards.

    Looks good, but this works for all the multi disk games, or only for the specific games of the video?
    And works for the games in which is not possible use a saved game for continue the next discs?
    I don't remember if MGS and Fear Effect are in this cases.
    Well, anyway i hope that krHACKen can be successful in what he is doing.

    Best regards.

    My guess is that it *should* work for all games. If you pause at 0:30 (fear effect) or 1:58 (MGS) of the video, the debug screen give you an idea how it works.

    The feature needs a txt file named DISC.TXT placed into the VMC folder of the game. It's an idex, which lists all the related VCD of the multidisk game.

    Well, lets wait news from kHn to know more about it. :)

    It's being tested with more games. There are weird cases where the games handle the CdStatus in a different manner. Like FFIX :
    I haven't tried FFIX yet, but I had to modify the lid open/close code to make it function with the disc swap helper and the TOC refresh mecanism.

    It works that way :

    The user writes a DISCS.TXT file and copy it to the VMC folders of all the game discs. The DISCS.TXT must contain one VCD name per line. Example with the Metal Gear Solid test video, my DISCS.TXT was
    Code:
    Metal Gear Solid (Disc 1).VCD
    Metal Gear Solid (Disc 2).VCD
    and I copied it to mass0:/POPS/Metal Gear Solid (Disc 1) and mass0:/POPS/Metal Gear Solid (Disc 2).

    The button combos to select the discs are a bit annoying, but that way it doesn't bother you while you play :
    Select+L2+R2+Up == Disc 1 (DISCS.TXT line 1)
    Select+L2+R2+Right == Disc 2 (DISCS.TXT line 2)
    Select+L2+R2+Down == Disc 3 (DISCS.TXT line 3)
    Select+L2+R2+Left == Disc 4 (DISCS.TXT line 4)

    So when a game tells the user to change the disc, the user does :
    1) Open the lid with Select+L2+R2+Triangle;
    2) Choose a disc. Let's say disc 3, with Select+L2+R2+Down;
    3) Close the lid with Select+L2+R2+Square.

    Limitations :
    - Currently 41 characters max per VCD filename (per line) in DISCS.TXT
    - The VCDs of all the game discs have to be in the same partition/folder
    - 4 VCDs max in DISCS.TXT

    Also, the whole thing does not change the VMC folders and does not load the game fixes for the VCDs when you swap the discs. I imagine that a multi-disc installation would have a VMCDIR.TXT alongside DISCS.TXT in all the VMC folders, to set up a "master" VMC pair...
    As for the game fixes for each VCD... it's gonna be complicated huh...
