    Hi all,

Most of the diagrams for the PS2 and PS1 modchips are pretty messy and not very consistent.

I am trying to make a new clean 'book' of all the installation diagrams for the matrix based MODBO 4/5 chips (to start), as well as the PS1 chips (MM3 ect).

To do this I need clean images of the motherboards, like this:

If anyone knows of any resource on the web that has archived photo's of all the motherboard revisions this will be a big help :)

The finished diagrams will be most likely .png with all the point overlays done in a transparent layer, the final 'book' or better called a installation manual, will have plain English install notes. My main aim is to make installing these chips as easy as can be to install.

Credits to whoever takes the photos will be added into the manual, with a website link if desired.

This probably sounds like a strange thing to do but I feel it would be better to have a sort of catch all for specific chips, or sort of cleaning things up in a way.

The finished PDF will be hosted for anybody to directly download (no adfly nonsense)

I've actually been planning to do this for quite a while.

The original ps1 pictures are pretty low quality. While they certainly are good enough, it would be nice to get some good pictures.

A scanner is probably the best way to get the pictures. Unfortunately the scanner I bought is crap with any depth. @GoodTofuFriday did a great job on a DC motherboard for me, might be worth finding out what scanner he used.

Might not be very good for the PS2 though, as the connectors are quite tall. Ps1 should probably work though

On the 'good' mobo photos it looks like it was done with a camera, as the outer edges are a little soft (not a huge issue)..

I have the equipment to take the pictures (soft lighting, DSLR ect), just dont have the consoles, being in Australia, it's a little too expensive..

There were a bunch of PS1 board photos I put up on the old Assembler wiki - but I have no idea where the originals are now...

    Awesome :)
The current wiki looks to be a clean install with no data :(

    I wonder if @ASSEMbler has a backup? ;)

For each usable (meaning I don't already have a better quality one) photo of PS1 motherboard, I'll donate $3 AUD to the forum :)

If you need scans I make them like I did for badad. I used a mpc3002 ricoh scanner, which most people wont have access to given that it cost 12k. Which board revision do you need/want? I have the 3 major ones as well as psone.

ps2 wise its not beyond me to desolder the controller ports.

Controller ports are separate on the phat models. It's the AV port and power pins that would cause issues.
