PS3 Debug Test Station problem.

    PS3 Test don't need code signing comapred to retail units. The trick with CFW is that on retail consoles this is (sometimes) patched. If not you use one fo the keys to signed published legit your homebrew.

    PS3 Test units need something called fself (fake self) only, this is like a stock signed binary just unencrypted.

    Another problem with 3.60 on your TEST is, that from 3.60 you cannot go back to >3.60 that easy anymore, only with a special firmware not available anywhere. Even a usale 3.55 debug PUP won't work as Sony now locked everything older.

    Newer Debug updates for a lot of versions got leaked and are possible to be found via google, but beware of fakes. And always remember OFW/CFW != Shop FW != Debug FW != Tool FW, these are all diffrent devices with diffrent kind of FW.

    If you want to run some homebrew, you maybe can get some sdk running and compile and fself the file yourself but this is hard. But the advantage you got with the TEST is that you actually can do this, with a retail you cannot.

    Maybe I will try to edit the homebrew myself to run it on my TEST , I have all the time of the world XD:nod:

    It's actually not that hard to get the official SDK up and running. There are guides on how to do it. It's meant to be used with a reference Tool, but the computer side of the setup is relatively easy. Of course using the official SDK is illegal unless you're a licensed developer (which you aren't). I don't have a PS3 test (should have bought one when I had the chance for $400. Bought a dev 3ds instead. Poor choice), but a retail running 3.41 that easily runs selfs built with the official SDK.
