Don't turn on your fat PS3s today! http://boards.ign.com/ps3_general_board/b8267/189823467/p1/?2 http://goo.gl/Yh9g
Wow...Sony couldn't get someone from a high school programming class to make them a leap year detection algorithm?
LEAP YEAR BUG: The only thing exclusive to the PS3 Fanboys don't clamor as innovative or next coming of Jesus.
For that matter neither did Microsoft, remember the Z2K bug? This is what they used for the Zune ** Sorry, couldn't get it to look nice and tidy.
I only read this now after switching on my ps3, the date and time was reset to 1/1 2000 1:00 strange enough. I have changed the date to 1 march 2010 but now I am unable to log in to PSN.. hmm hope it didn't mess up my trophies or something else. This is really stupid on sony's side.
No, unfortunately the planetwide search for anyone who actually bought a Zune is still ongoing, but urban legends persist that at least one elusive specimen exists somewhere in the known universe.
I havent turned my ps3 on in a few days...but i m terrified. I have Remote Start on though, I wonder how that affects the system. Did any of you who got the issue have Remote Start turned on?
MY PS3 EXPLODED with remote start on!! lol just joking.. At least y2k was forseen and we were warned on time, can't believe nobody saw this coming at sony.. this pisses me off.
I am so scared. Trophies in theory shouldnt be a go-nowhere issue though, as sony keeps track of your trophies in their own database, ie it could be fixed with a patch and a sync. It's balls nevertheless
The debug PS3 I've been loaned to write my God of War 3 guide has been borked :noooo: :banghead: :banghead: This is really screwing up with my deadline... :crying:
After about four episodes of Buffy, and coming to the conclusion that Willow and Anya are many times more foxy than the show's heroine, a random grey box popped up at about 12am this morning telling me I'd been signed out of PSN. I turned the PS3 on when I got in this evening and I've only just noticed that the date is 1/1 and the time is 00:58. I also can't sign in to PSN. I haven't tested any games yet as I'm watching Voyager, but that probably isn't a good plan anyway. At least the system is booting and isn't bricked. I expect a fix for this from Sony within the next 24 hours that doesn't require any fucking around whatsoever. I've just ckecked the European PSN Blog, and Sony are at least acknowledging the problem. It looks like they're just hoping it will sort itself out at midnight tonight though.
