Looks like it would have been high cost to produce and some of the stuff going on looked like it would be a nightmare for a ps3 controller to handle. But yeah.. What do you guys think?
Seriously.. As an arcade concept maybe. But, all we have is a brief video of a guy running through a street shooting robots.. Multiply that by 40 hours and see how fun it looks. The game play video that they make available is obviously going to highlight the most thrilling parts of the game.. Which is running down a street. In that light I don't find it to hard to understand why this game may have been cancelled.
Just to point out this isn't The Gataway its a different game and from what I read in to it the other day its all smoke on mirrors none of it was in game it was all pre rendered but still I liked the concept and the story seemed to be decent from what I read.
Agreed - the target render may have seemed a good idea but maybe not throwing thousands of dollars at it. Kudos to the person who posted links to 'The Getaway' too! :lol: :thumbsup:
"The Getaway" and "The Gateway" is different. thanks for the motion pictures. sad, another game that never released but maybe preserved for another game.
Well by the looks of it, they had already started at it, which means they probably already wasted quite a bit of money on it. This game looks pretty killer. For some reason reminds me of Half-Life.
