I hope it doesn't suck. PSO was the first ever online game I played and yes, I was on there almost every night from 12am to 5 or 6am for a year! I shit you not. I sure as hell hope it wont be like Phantasy Star Universe. Yakumo
I played like a mofo as well. I'm just convinced Sega can't pull off a proper online game. As fun as PSO was, it only reached a fraction of it's potential. The PSU launch was a disaster as well.

THIS IS BETA PSO FOOTAGE, NOT THE ACTUAL GAME WE GOT TO PLAY BACK IN 2000. It's funny to see how Sonic Team still manages to use prototype stuff. I would die to get my hands on that beta, damn it!

From the POS teaser (really, theres nothing else but a fugly logo) all I can deduce is that SEGA is going after blizzard and their patented money-making machine (AKA WoW). Else why PC only?

Your screenshots are of the original PSO game. As far as I can see, all they did in the video was show the title screen.
I think you didn't understand what I meant. These screens, taken from the TGS vid. are showing some beta gameplay footage of PSO ~ year 1999 probably.
The only Beta video from Forest 1 I remember had the Grasshopper things in them. This doesn't look like it. I wonder if this one will have 4 levels.
