I will only play this if SEGA finally gets the anti-cheating stuff right... I'd be all up for an ASSEMblerCLAN though

I have PSOv2 on PSP but haven't played it once yet. I enjoyed it on the DC years ago but haven't tried again since. I should really get going with it :) More fun when you know people in a group perhaps? I might just need more time on it.

Wait, what? I'm aware of Phantasy Star Universe games (Portable, Portable 2 and Portable 2 Infinity) for the PSP. Was there also a release of the original Phantasy Star Online in some form? PSOv2 refers specifically to the patched version on the Dreamcast with the extra lobbies and the higher level cap, doesn't it? Not trying to be a pedantic jerk about it, but if there is another version of the original PSO out there I want in on it.

I hope on new PSO keep the feeling of old PSO v2! i have spend many hours in version of Dreamcast from 2004 till 2007 to official servers and after few months on private servers.I never forgot the friends we still play pso on DC because i feel them like big family.Everyday on PSO join about 10 with 20 players to EU Servers and weekend become maximum 40 players. Now i play the PSP 2 version and is not the same..

I have heard about that too, that if you buy a game you get access to the alpha/beta(?) this summer if you purchase only a Physical copy of the game.

    Nothing to confirm it though

Certain elements of the gameplay look a bit too much like Phantasy Star Universe for my liking, but overall it looks awesome.

Man the colors looked washed up, but the game looks awesome nonetheless.

Not digging the oversized swords though, looks stupid, like square-stupid, are they trying to beat the next FF in the ridiculous design category?

Looks fantastic. The only mistake they made with PSU were the uninspired areas that were mostly cookie cutter copies of each other.

Damn this is looking pretty damn perfect.

Graphics look a bit muddy, but then again it's not even in alpha yet so ,it's gonna look ever better!
    Man i'm excited

Also you can't say the swords are too big, and consider yourself a fan of PSO.
    PSO had some HUGE swords.

Obviously these are the equivalent of the Big Swords in PSO

My issue with PSU was the unnecessary modifications they made to the gameplay, making the whole thing feel more imprecise.

    This still looks great though.

    Mark my words:
-Launch will be unstable (drop offs, can't log in for hours on end, etc.)
-It will be hacked in a couple of months
-There will be tons of useless items.

    Or...3rd time's a charm? Who knows.

Looks good and has me excited.

    BUT...

I'll wait for when they eventually port it to PSP/NGP, the series does reasonable numbers there so it's bound to happen (and PSP2 was pretty enjoyable).

Oh yes. I loved the original Dreamcast games. The ONLY MMORPG I actually liked and the only one I maxed out my character on.
