And thats different than right now how? I don't see the problem. I paid for my PSP (2 of them infact), and I paid for my PSOne system and games. If I rip my own games how is place-shifting them to my PSP immoral?
immoral, a bit. illegal, yep. Either way this could hurt the service for people who use it legaly. Sony is really offering a great service for a mear $6.
Stop trying to guilt trip me! Dangit this is too cool to ignore ;p If anything just for the games that would almost cetainly never see release by Sony for thier service (large Multi-disc games like FF7/FF8/FF9/MGS/etc) and smaller 3rd party titles. (Anyone else love Destruction Derby and Tecmo's Deception?) Also, I am a *huge* Symphony of the Night fan, which I doubt would hit their service anytime soon since Konami announced they were going to put it for download on Xbox Live Arcade, and I assume there is probably an exclusivity period...
For better or worse it's been released ... http://pspupdates.qj.net/Dark-AleX-s-3-02-OE-B-released-/pg/49/aid/77278
It's not, but it would lead to people posting them online. That is happening right now but via hacks. If it was built into the system then there would be no way to control piracy. Also there are legal licensing issues for Sony to consider, and the profit based ones.
Best emulator on psp. Playing Chrono Cross, awesome - full speed, sound, movies Btw for me it looks like Connectix VGS port - it has exactly the same bugs (no item window in Chrono, freezes in police station in RE2, etc.)
Those bugs are typical bugs found in many ps1 emu's Like in FF7 when you are chosing your taget a small copy of that space is shown in the menu area. ePSXe has the same effect happen depending on plug-in (again, minor, some may not even notice it).
I somehow doubt that sony will release Klonoa or Kula World through their online service, so it seems this will be the way for me Have them both on psone (I actually think I own three copies of Klonoa if you coun't the namcollection for ps2 ).
I think it's best if we all follow a Don't Ask Don't Tell policy regarding piracy (in its legal sense) Whoever is willing to re-pay for the games, go ahead, those unwilling to do so, keep out of legal trouble The point is that PSP has one more reason to sell to the masses, and to be honest, it's a good one! It's all about the games
Well... not really. Since this doesn't work with newer PSP's, the models sold in stores now wont be affected by this.
Well, as far as firmware your right, but as far as the TA-082 boards go: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?p=335874#post335874
The 3.02 OE custom firmware is the most awesome thing ever. Ironically, the things author lives in the same city as me.
All we need now is somehow to hack the MEMCARD.DAT file, and see if we can use data from a standard "gamesave".mcr file, that way we could then use say saves from our actual ps1 on our psp.....I'd really hate to start Gran Turismo 2 over again Ryan
So which is the best PSX emulator for the PSP then, I'd like to play some of my retro PSone games on the PSP but I've heard a lot of them are not full speed, and that would annoy me. Which is best?
Use Custome Firmware 3.02OE-B by Dark_Alex. Its the official Sony PSX emulator but open to usage of your own ripped games. Full speed, sound, all games, etc... Even multi-disc games work (provided you have the chance to save at the end of a disc).
