Yes it is quite possible. In fact the v1.5 firmware update for the Japanese PSP downloads to the memory stick and then shows up as a game when you browse through the PSP menu. Sony has also talked about the possibility of demos being downloadable over the Internet (or store kiosks) to memory sticks so that people could then play them in their PSPs. As for emulators, the only question really is power. The PSP is roughly somewhere around PlayStation 1.5 in terms of horsepower. It's not going to be near the emulation machine that the Xbox was. -hl718
Hey, as long as there's something remotely like imbNES, I'd be interested. It'd be somewhat... ironic, for those waiting for DS based NES/Snes emulators, though. PC Engine, Intellivision, Colecovision, Atari 2600/5200/7800, Commodore 64, SMS, and older MAME games would also be feasible. Who knows. If Snes, GBA or Genesis were also... we'd have a REALLY neat handheld. You know, like the GP32 and stuff.
Does this page work in the PSP browser? http://www.everyvideogame.com/nintendo_Jackal.htm It uses NESCafe
Nanaka Crash doesn't work, because the PSP doesn't support Flash. Except for the screen being too wide (it doesn't format webpages correctly), the browsing isn't too bad. ^_^_^
Both PSP and DS will be more than capable of SNES emulation (being about the most demanding platform you listed), since the GBA has a SNES emulator, not full speed but reasonably close.
Isnt that gba snes emulator still in testing with only a handful of games that actually work on it? I so want to play Tales of Phantasia on a handheld. Or a MS1,2,3,4 or 5 neo geo game. Portable Neo geo emulation would kick ass.
