Has anyone actually got a link? I'm not saying the price is wrong, it'd just be nice to have something concrete. I can't find anything online.

I tried, or at least watched for a while, most of the launch titles at the TGS, and they were all marginal at best. I"lll wait several months before picking one up, if at all... I just don't play handhelds that much.

I think I'll hold off for a few months, at least until GT4:M is released.
Aside from the boring launch lineup I think well be seeing the same crazy shit that happend with the PS2's launch. i.e. Units selling out and importers putting a massive markup on the system.

Make sure you thank Nintendo, otherwise it would cost at least 50% more than it's going to retail for.

Well at least sony is trying to be competitive with price, so its going to be a closer race, still i prefer the ds, got some fresh games on it, psp seems mostly rehashes or stuff thats rather plain, just my opinion.

Lik-sang have now updated their PSP news on the main page. The PSP is now supposedly region free!

I can't understand why people are now excited by the PSP just because it's cheaper. It's still the same machine as before with the same PS2 remakes as before. The only thing that's changed is the price.

Cmon mate at that price it's gonna get serious dev support and with that will come some fantastic games, I think the talking will be done in sales but do you really think the DS ell be able to fully compete now?Remember Nintendo are using the DS as a third pillar and they have stated this on various occasions, so they have alienated vast numbers of consumers there.

Very true, but its now pretty much the same price for either PS2 or N64 remakes. And we all know which is the most popular.

Geez you have some issues with Sony don't you.
People have been interested in the PSP for ages it's just they've been holding off becuase of the unknowns(price, battery life). Now that they know the price is great and the B life is good enough there coming out in support of it.
I don't really care if there are a lot of PS2 ports on the system. It's a freaking portable, it's different to a console. I can't take my PS2 and copy of Winning eleven on the plane with me however I can take my PSP. There are plenty of original games in the pipeline but even if it were "just" a portable PS2 I, and probably the majority of the gaming world, will be plenty happy.

On a final note. Fucking get over your hate for Sony. There are a shit load of awesome games on the PS2 you are missing out on.

EDIT by AntiPasta = fixed the quote :)

No I don't. I'm just not a sheep that follows the hype ! Yes the PS2 is cheap now but still doesn't interest me and do you know why? Because it's still just the same as it was when it was going to be wxpensive, a PS2 portable. I'm not interested in it's software one little bit. Now if more interesting games appear then I will concider buying one. But until that time I still see it as a portable PS2 and nothing more.
