PSP Libraries leaked!!

Discussion in 'Sony Programming and Development' started by Benedict_Arnold, Jun 18, 2005.

  1. I just read this news:

"Today a file titled PSPdevsrc1.zip appears to have hit the Internet, with the size being 436 KB (446,732 bytes) and containing the official (C) $ony PSP Dev Kit Libraries! This is exciting news indeed, as up until now nothing from the heavily watermarked PSP $DK has surfaced publically. Needless to say, the files are illegal to possess if you are not a licensed developer so NEVER discuss them on our Web site... <I deleted the rest of the information since it tells you where to go to get them>"

Not that I program, but is this big news to any programmers here?

It seems to just be the libraries, not the full dev kit

    A few more details...
Turns out to be a bunch of the headers and some of the source in the sdk. I'm not sure if the psp uses proper libraries or whether they just link dynamically to the ones in the bios as no actual .lib files are present for linking to. Documentation is not included but would be extremely helpful.
